Those talking about a special div remember what happened last time.

Mrg they might just reduce the div payout so even with the current increase in share count the payout is the same.
I agree sick of getting diluted it's what has kept me from putting serious money into this company.

So bcn had an initial Chinese investor didn't it? Share rose massively then more shares were offered at a discount to that price but not to the private investor. Then they got taken over at a pretty low price. Can that situation happen here?

Best way would be to look at a historic pre mine to miner share price i guess.

Re abrdn selling to Greenwash their portfolio. I never understood financial companies doing this. The type of person that cares to that level is the sort of person that would see share ownership as capitalist pigs destroying mother earth types.

My store has been far quieter this Xmas compared to previous years? Now obviously the stores are bussier than normal but have any other staff members here noticed a quite overall shop this year?

Why do a 6 mile return trip for a negligible refund. These things happen. Get your refund thr next time you are in store. They won't quibble over it.

I have much larger holdings of big companies in my portfolio. PepsiCo is 12% legal and general 10% rio tinto 10% realty income 9% . Quite comfortable with this . The more risky high growth potential stuff is all 3% or so.

When it went from 300 to 245 I bought as it looked a good price and relatively ranged. When it went to 204 I bought more as it was an even better price. At some point you can't buy more at your initial buy in price as even a large fall can be higher than the price you bought years ago. To me I look at a discount from peak and if anything has actually changed with the company.

Last year was 242 or something like that which I didn't put in. Prior to that it was 192 iirc and 218. I just do 3 yearly so I have 1 coming to an end in a few mo ths. The same next year then a gap year until this one matures. So many people in my store don't do it and it's a no brainer.

General market was in a dwonturn and all retail stocks were down, even winners.

On a related note who else who works for the company here got in on pretty much the bootom price for the next Save as you earn scheme at the discounted price of 182p? The timing of it coincided really nicely.

SVEND using that space would require significant upgrades to the structure of the building to support the weight and defo not cost effective.

Skier clearly you have no idea about retail. The only thing that actually made any sense is lowering the roof. Now obviously you cant lower the physical roof but you can put in a false roof that over time would vastly reduce the energy cost of heating the huge stores.

Other than that you will not beat aldi and lidl at that game Tesco tried with the "Jacks" nonsense, Your average Tesco employee is also less able than your average Aldi or Lidl employee. Big fat diabetes type 2 berth who walks with a stick is not going to get a job at the discounters.

However on company news sales seem to be recovering a bit just now. Could be a good buy at this price I know I put alot into the company SAYE scheme this time around.

there is only tax if you are over the tax free threshhold.
Im in too didnt go for last year as price was high and have one maturing for March. Hopefully now the price is well down for this years option price a rapid rise to actually get something out of the maturing one.
Bigger factor to consider now though as the oportunity cost is higher. 5.5% share dividend and or interest on the actual cash.
