i got ferociously attacked when i raised the point that the broker research report suggested a 10-15% (cant remember exact number) recovery chance and i just wanted to know peoples views on that. I'm not saying 'I told you so' but rather that people on these boards are not often your friends and you have to be very careful of rampers. That said, some people on these boards are your friends and I've benefitted from their warnings on other boards

Thats me bowing out of NCCL. After several years of patience and waiting, I can't see this being the money-maker it once looked like. Realistically, NCCL are looking for a way out but are probably finding it hard as theres so little demand for new build coal.

I would guess that whats happened is that KOD have remedied their application as discussed as the govt is happy with it, so then its just the payment left. This could meant that ML is sorted within a week

The thing is, i suspect a lot of this is out of Hanno's hands. NCCL has no negotiating power with the Chinese until theres developments on the tariff approval, and NCCL have limited influence over the govt. and its likely to be a [long long] waiting game.

I agree...we don't need news desperately. Things are looking pretty good here. Govt wouldnt approve ESIA and local content if there wasnt support for the project. Just gotta be patient still

Yes agreed. I think ML probs in next 2 months realistically, although very hard to say when exactly. However once we get that we can properly look to progress
