BERENBERG RAISES CENTRICA PRICE TARGET TO 50 (45) PENCE - 'HOLD'

December 14 (Renewables Now) - Centrica Energy Trading, a unit of UK’s Centrica plc (LON:CNA), will be the off-taker of 312 MW of Finnish wind and solar parks owned by domestic renewable energy developer Taaleri Energia Ltd.

The duo has signed two long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) covering the Helsinki-based company’s operational renewable power portfolio. The deals were announced by the UK firm on Friday.

The first contract, with a duration of five years, will see Centrica buy the output of Taaleri’s power production across 13 sites. Under the second PPA, meanwhile, it will trade and balance the electricity generated by a 33-MW wind park for 10 years. This contract is part of a larger European renewable corporate PPA through which Centrica will provide supply services for the off-taker on behalf of the project, it explained.
"We are excited to deepen our relationship with Taaleri Energia and help them to realise their green ambitions. Being awarded its Finnish operational renewable portfolio and growing our presence in Norway is an important milestone for our route-to-market business [..]," said Cassim Mangerah, managing director of Centrica Energy.

Rolls-Royce stuck to its guidance to turn cash flow
positive during the second-half of next year, and said it was on
track to deliver its cost-saving targets.

Rolls-Royce said engine flying hours, a key measure of its
income, were down 42% in the 11 months to November as COVID-19
choked airline flying, and warned that more recently the pace of
recovery had slowed due to an uptick in infection rates.
