'anybody have an insight to what extent this will reduce Vod's debt level?'
This article suggest the total is $18.6Bn. At the start 3 was promoting c$5Bn as their share, so say joint $10Bn excluding debt.
That leave $8.6Bn debt split. $4Bn to $5Bn debt off VOD balance sheet is my guess.
Net debt reduces to c€29Bn, maybe?

'No one surely wants to see any more of her cleavage - nice silk shirt though'
Yep, nice blouse. I think I saw her in a mini skirt when Franceso was promoting vodafone red. I dont know how anyone gets productive at Vodafone with a CEO eye candy like MDV. Reminds me of Margaret Thatcher. Now that was a real strong lady
'Bailey and his audience.'
I know what you mean Android. Just like the politicians. They need something like VOD to launder rising interest rates to get something back on their 'zero rate' strategies. Its a regulated business, the culture is incestuous.
MDV should undo another button on her shirt for the next update. Bailey et al will not be able to concentrate.

Also Barclays increased target to 115, neutral today
The 3 Vod UK merger will be influenced by the choice of network equipment re China. Retail only merger might be the answer on a VOD/ O2 network, along the lines of an MVNO/ MVNE ?

' increased interest rates on excessive borrowings'
I thought VOD debt is fixed coupon averaging c2.5% and no material near term debt due for repayment.
The cost of margin calls must be going up with interest rates?
'Also when E& bid comes through the SP will rocket'
No certainty E& will bid. I think they need to have 29% or 30% to force a bid. They are at c.14% with Gov approval to increase to 15% at the moment. Certainly got significant interest over their investment imo
Vodafone and Microsoft have signed an MoU aimed at accelerating the digitisation of the public and private sectors in Romania.

'Our organic growth underpinned a step-change in our return on capital, which improved by 170bps to 7.2%. '
traders conveniently forgetting money borrowed from stakeholders is generating increasing return on capital year on year
'consolidation in uk'
What happened to E& increase in shareholding to 15%. No RNS and not buying this week?
Their investment interest is exposure to £/€ currency and next gen technology. They are not advocating consolidation as far as I can see.
The screw turning on the BoD. Can they just sit on their hands and sweat the VOD cash cow or is a new CEO urgently needed to execute a capital spend strategy out of asset sales.
Crikey, who can keep everyone happy, including the regulator. Maybe a tectonic shock required?
