RE: Cash runway VS placing5 Mar 2024 14:05
Tasi Mane (Male Sea) original project, apart from roads/major highway, Tibar deep water supplies port and Airport upgrade plus new regional Airport (between Bettano and Beaco) all pretty much built by China BRI and France/Japan/Oz
Suai Offshore support port (in progress)
Bettano Oil refineries - Oil and Condensate processing
Beaco Gas LNG Export fac's plus single string Import Gas/Lng Import fac for domestic use.
3 years ago , PM Rauk announced the Imports fac, moving to Metinaro alongside ALL Fuel Imports at the P.I.T. petroleum imports terminal, which will hold all plus 90-120 day tank farms supply. In response to severe problems encountered during covid and major storms since.
This project fits like a glove for Chuditch FPSO plans, the conversion of the Islands 3 power stations to gas and be supplied by the P.I.T. expected to be completed by 2025/26 , long before Sunrise produces (last tenders 2030/31)
Why you ask, well PM Rauk announced the project as priority, to secure stable Electricity supplies for all and prevent the disasters of recent years being compounded. He also stated, the switch from unreliable diesel supplies to Gas, would save the Island , millions off the annual budget.
Be a bit stupid , to now put it all back to Sunrise , wait another 5 years or more to honour that commitment to the people, when raging storms now hitting them every year. Likewise on the savings to budget, if they ignore their own gas Chuditch and go for more expensive imports.
Sure their own NOC TG and SG who built their Industry players and still train to this day, will be more than willing to negotiate a local supply offtake agreement for domestic supply, with all additional production to world markets π€
Metinaro Final Investment Decision FID ,was announced last February as by end of 2023, so already overdue, studies completed by 2 Indonesian companies last year, all data handed over to Timor Gap NOC and partners, to commence final FEED design (October)
That FID could now come any day, it falls under the Ministry of Infrastructure and Planning, who signed the MOU agreement with the Chinese Overseas Development Ministry in Cabinet , 3 days before Gusmao visited Xi Jinping in China late last year. So that's the potential financial and building muscle , for the Northern P.I.T. project, possibly/maybe etc π€
So why not promote Chuditch to prospective developers with it, with an offtake agreement in play.π€ GLALTH
