Biglad6 - Exactly ! Why would you want to buy back shares or even contemplate the issue of buying back shares if the company was 100% going out of business!!! Why you you bother allocating shares to yourselves too ??? Summit fishy there ! Something we have not be and possibly could not be told ? I will be holding on to my million shares, they will not contribute to the 10% buyback !!!
Mista" - From my memory ( which has failed dismally on 2 counts in the last 2 days ;-) , the 6th Sept was the end of the period of Mike Flemmings exclusitivy to find funding, not the end of the search for it . I read that RNS as a positive but i don't want to say on here why and be accused of pumping. Those i talk to away from here have seen my thoughts. At least the RNS was not a goodbye all, where there is life, there is hope ! GLA
Truthfactory - So please tell us who you recommend those with poor credit ratings turn too for loans ?
Becuase, just because they fill a gap in the market that YOU do not like, as long as they lend correctly, that does not make it wrong either !
As long as they compensate those who were wronged, i see no problem with them lending again as long as they lend correctly within the rules. Let the borrowers decide, if they don't want Amigo, if they don't want to borrow from Amigo. it will go bust !
Let them be the decider, not some troll !
Truthfactory - 1) I have seen people who have been beaten up by loan sharks for not paying and they never got a slap, they were beaten up properly ! 2) A quick google and straight away you see a broker charging 47.9%, are you campaigning to close them down ? 3) Surely it is up to peoples choices? Borrow or not borrow. They have to have the choice and then be responsible for their own actions !
So yes, i do think when there are doorstep loan sharks and payday loans of maybe 1000%, yes, people should have the option in my opinion. But, it comes back to one thing. Nobody is forcing them to borrow at whatever percentage. They do it themselves !
Reading the RNS last night, i don't think today is the end. Yes, it is the end of the exclusivity period for Mike Fleming, but, now others can enter the fray if they so wish. The haters may want the end of Amigo and companies like it, yet, most seem to have used them before when in their hour of need. Who are the less fortunate in society going to turn to for moneywithout companies like Amigo? If this had all come to a head now rather than 3 years ago, with interest rates as they are now, Amigo would have been up and trading long ago !
I did several dummy buys and sells today. I could buy £1k all day but if i upped that to £2k, i could not get a trade quote. Getting to the point now where shares are getting harder to come by ! Those that have got them are not inclined to sell them, not at this price anyway !
