I bought shares in SSIC through AJ Bell this morning on-line without problems.

It won’t do any good, but I’ve voted against the increase in Director’s pay.

I sold my shares today. Probably unnecessary but I was worried by the lack of a firm timetable. If it is delayed into autumn, economic situation might have changed and deal might fall through.

I originally bought in when it was Dart Group at 65p - in fact it’s my most profitable investment. Over the years Jet2 trading statement have invariably erred on the side of caution, which is what they’ve done today. Without doubt Jet2 is the most efficient and effective travel company / airline in UK. If there are troubled times ahead for the industry, other companies will go to the wall first which will take any pressure off Jet2.

I may be wrong but I don’t think it’s a question of brokers being excluded, but that some haven’t taken on the role. In choosing a broker one has to consider not only charges but what other facilities they provide. I have found AJ Bell to be absolutely first rate in the facilities they provide.

I’ve made another small investment at the current low price. Despite everything I still think that this company has potential. Shall tuck away and forget for a year.

Agree. Bought a few some time ago because I enjoy the original Redleg spiced rum. Not, perhaps , a brilliant reason for investing! Distribution definitely needs sorting as one of the outlets I use have had it in stock for last 4 months.

Had first landfall at the Azores on Sunday where the excursions were very good interesting. Now heading south with calm seas and bright sunshine. All the people we’ve spoken to are happy with the cruise and already have another Saga cruise booked. This is not very scientific as obviously my wife and I haven’t spoken to everybody on board. I can, however, state that the next cruise we are going on ‘ in the footsteps of St James’ over Easter 22 is fully booked with a waiting list!
Clearly Saga are keeping their clientele. The only question is over the profitability once the cost of the protocols is taken into account.

Hello Banburyboy. According to reception there are 715 passengers. We are due to sale from Portland at 10 am. Because of delays we shan’t stop at Madeira but at the Azores, instead. Great news as we’ve been to Madeira but not to the Azores!

I hold Saga Andy my wife and I are on Spirit of Adventure sailing to West Indies. Embarkation was very efficient and the food is great. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately thanks to Storm Barra we haven’t actually got very far. Currently tied up in Portland, Dorset, waiting for break in weather to make break into Atlantic. So far everything under Saga’s control has gone well.

I bought this morning at 12.50, so I assume all sells at that price are in fact buys. Bad news in that the sp is lower than quoted, good news in that investors are buying.

Share price clearly lower than indicated here. I have made 3 small buys over last fortnight and all show here as sales. I suggest most of these sales are in fact buys.

I'm surprised nobody has commented on Egdon's announcement that they have started drilling at Wressle. Through our 18% stake in Egdon, we will effectively have a 4.5% interest in any success.

Good news all round. Things are looking better than they have for years.
