"Valueformoney I am referring to the discrimination against those who enter to make quick money. You and others do it. What's the basis? Are you better by being a long term holder?" No. Fair play to anyone who can make a quick buck. But when it doesn't work out, move on and look for another opportunity rather than looking for why it wasn't your fault.
"..according to the Times newspaper and many other it's going to push the share price over £1 ($500m settlement minus a modest funder fee), who the hell wouldn't buy that? Would you not buy it? If you wouldn't it's because you are overly risk averse." This barely warrants a response. Do you bet on horse tips you hear in the pub too?
No. and I wasn't referring to you either.
"But there is nothing wrong with someone jumping into a share when the company publishes news of new fortunes." this is fine but if it were that easy we'd all do it. Why would you think I am dishonest or self-righteous?
Sorry nano I have no sympathy for anyone who bought on the 6th Jan. That was not an investment, that was a get rich quick gambler. And they lost. Like most gamblers.
Does anyone see this trade anywhere but this website? I don't.

@trouble just counter to other posters trying to "warn" off investors. #DYORObvs
troublesome, for the record I am not saying that everything should or is positive about Nano. Merely that the sentiment on us at the mo is negative and that will impact the performance of the sp. I appreciate the views in here and a lot are with merit.
If I were a market maker and I was looking at this chat (as many of you suspect) I would be marking this stock lower every day! The sentiment in this chat since the settlement announcement has been largely negative. Ignoring any arguments on BT, the company has better prospects now than it ever has done but if I was a new investor in this stock I would wait until you stopped moaning before buying. HH, sell and move on. This cant be good for your health. Plenty of other names with the potential to increase your wealth and happiness.
HH - if new investors are coming to these boards for advice and recommendations then they really shouldn't be investing in the first place. DYOR. I do agree with you on your RNS comment however, everything in between is noise including any analyst recommendation.
Thanks again Tony
But no one is tied in. If you think this co is doomed or that you can make more money elsewhere, sell. Regardless of whether it crystalizes a loss. If you don't trust management, sell. Selling at a loss should never be a deciding factor in whether you stay with a share. We are all here to maximise returns. We should be should be putting our money where we think it has the best potential. I have no loyalty to Nano and it owes me nothing. I dont expect BT or any other CEO to be worrying about my entry point or whether I make money or not.
"who is going to invest in a company where by a little of research they can find out that the CEO has misled investors? Who????"

You're clearly one us too :)
HH - Do you think paid for research involves the company influencing the analysis? The FCA might have an issue with that. Please educate yourself. Start by trying to keep your emotions in check.
v disappointing to see this chat descend into chaos since the settlement. It certainly seems some of you loaded up on the back of an independent report hoping for a quick return and when it didn't materialize have decided to blame the board, institutional investors and the same report (albeit, no longer independent 'obviously') for negligence, insider-dealing and pure lies. Not to mention, shock, a blatant disregard for us, the valued shareholder!!! Market makers also get accused of manipulation but if you look at the individual trades in this name they are typically private investor sizes. All a MM needs to do is check these chats for general sentiment and their job is easy.
One person got sentenced as a result of the GFC in 2007/8. Do you really think BT is going to get hauled up in front of a jury. Grow up.
I enjoy debate on the lse but it seems some of you should just move on. This stock hit 72p. A premium of 69% to the previous close. Most investors don't make that in a year. Who sold?
well said Tony
"There’s plenty of upside from here, we’re still only at a quarter of the MOEX valuation (excluding divs)."
?
sorry, the 200-300 was Edison right? So not Nanoco. Not in their prospectus. If I'm wrong please send me a link. Appreciated.
sorry tbow but where does it mention $200-300 million ?
HH - I don't think ceo's typically lay out "models" for potential investors to choose from before investing. I'd be interested to know what "equity" value or "enterprise" value (or whichever way you value a stock) you had for Nano prior to the settlement announcement?
I'm pretty certain investors were not offered a "double or quits" bet? Either way it was oversubscribed. I'm not sure how we've been "betrayed" either. I'm thinking there may be another arena for all of your emotions and expectations rather than the stock market.
Didn't miss it. I was referring to the litigation period. Personally, I think there will be an encouraging rns coming in the future regarding other settlements. I don't think Samsung were the only company stealing our ip and BT has alluded to this too.
Surely there has been a "blackout" period while the litigation was going on preventing directors from purchasing shares?
Where does £75k come from for BT to invest? Why not £50 or $100k? If he bought £75k today and released an RNS on Friday saying we've signed "xyz" contract you'd be claiming insider dealing.
There are some great arguments and analysis on this board. And some truly terrible ones too.
