Are we only supposed to have been holding if we had posted here forever? You are such a clown. I did hold, and I did sell, making a nice profit. But I don’t really care whether you believe it or not. And filtering people with a different view to yours is very smart, well done. Only people who do that are those who lack ability to counter argue ones points.

Jarv - absolute rubbish. Are you telling me the SP here increased to these levels because ncyt’s other products? As I said. Take covid 19 away, this one will be back to 10p. That’s never going to happen obviously, because these guys will make some money. Question is how much?

Office manager - they’re all risks to the company, not saying it’s a risk for today. But it’s jot like NCYT is selling millions today, they too need to ramp up production and sales to support current market cap. All I am saying is that there are other companies working out there whether it is on testing, cure or vaccine. Some here seem to think ncyt is the only company in the world with a solution.

Oh, and it absolutely is a one trick pony. Remove the covid19 testing and this one goes back to 10p, simple as that.

What happens if tomorrow someone FIFA’s a vaccine? How about if there is a cure? E.g. Gilead? How’s that going to fit in with the testing? Definitely worth considering as the potential risks to the success of this company

Probably need to look in conjunction with fundamentals of the company? Not that I am an expert in technical analysis, but these scenarios play out only when all else is equal (i.e. fundamentals don’t change)?

BNC - I’d also be interested to know what level of pullback is most likely, from a charting perspective... I bought in the other day at 15.5p, and want to add on the back of this news, but don’t want to rush into it. I expect a pullback, just not sure from your chart whether there is any support before the recent lows we saw.

Pilgrim - you’re deluded. How is this company going to ramp up production? Since you’re so clever and knowledgable, tell me what is the net profit they make from each kit sold? Go on then, since I’m a fool. Or is your valuation based on the crystal ball you have?

Big / absolutely no way I’m agreeing in any way, shape or form with your post. Your post is dangerous and could lose a lot of people a lot of money. If you truly believe there are no negatives in investing in any, yes, any shares, then you’re deluded. I don’t care really if you don’t want to engage. I just want to make sure others don’t follow your ridiculous statements.

Ghia - I totally agree. Those figures will help a lot. But I can see some clever folk here saying this will go to £200 if they have some semi decent revenue figures. What do you think they’ll have and how much revenue would be good to support or give a further boost to this share?

Oil rush...yeah, been there, done that. Gained a lot and lost plenty, learned valuable lessons, and you’re right this seems very much like it.

Ghia - you need net profit (or Gross Profit at a minim). Revenue figures are worthless really....what if they only make 1penny per kit? Not saying they do, but the principle stands that revenue alone does not give you an indication of value

What a lot of b888ocks. How can you say “there is no real negatives to investing in NCYT”? That’s the most stupid statement anyone can make.

How about you could lose most of your investment? How’s that for a negative? How about the fact that the market cap of the company is so high now that they need to sell millions of test kits to support this valuation? Where are the figures (net profit) which support this market cap? Do you even know how companies are valued? This company’s share price is based on hype alone, and until they share with everyone the volumes/revenues (not to mention the fact that no one knows what the net profit from these sales will be, and everyone talks about revenue as this is what can be used to value to company...funny) then no one knows what this company may be worth. I hope for your sake and many others who bought in yesterday on the spike to £5 that this at least goes back to those levels, but there is huge downside (as well as potential upside) to this company.

Oh Parkz, bless your cotton socks. Price is only too high if your wanting to buy? How else do you get movement (increases/decreases) in the share price if no one wants to buy because the share price is too high? That rhymes so well too...:)

Sharesgonorth - as I said, I don’t know much about AVCT. Was referring only to the recent development (which is really what led to the SP increase). For me, going in to AVCT for any other reason/projects other than Covid 19, would be completely the wrong timing. I don’t think most of those buying recently bought for the other projects the company has in the pipeline.

Newtothisgame - those were different time. I was in Chariot, RKH, GKP and Solg at various time. RKH is my success story, with the others closely behind. But it was a different time then, kind of easy to make money. Need a bit more patience now in my opinion. But this one should do well and looking forward to 30 April

Tiptree - not sure about the companies you mention, but had a look at Avacta last week and it wasn’t for me. I could see something with NCYT as it relates to testing, which is needed now, today, yesterday, but Avacta is talking about a “cure” and I think a) that’s a long way away and b) needs testing and all sorts of approvals before use, and there may be other big pharmaceuticals with more fire power which may get there faster. Not saying it won’t go up, as there is plenty of hype in the now fashionable pharmas, but I’d just dabble in with a small punt if I had to buy in. Just make sure you don’t overexposed yourself to the pharma sector, and definitely get out when the hype is at its peak, and talk of £200 share price starts to circulate....:).

For what is worth, I have 20% of my ptf invested in AIM, 35 in FTSE 250 and 45 in FTSE 100. And I keep adjusting so that these % remain roughly constant.

Laidback - seriously, you need to get a grip. No amount of ridiculous comments by you will have an effect on oil price or the TLW price. Do you not get tired of the sh8te you spit out day in day out? Simonbed, Mark - I did the same last week. Sold the shares I had here and bought lloy and more Genel (Genel is no BP, or Shell but plenty of cash and dividends and really low cost of production). Good luck with your divestment

NickRush - I’d listen to your mate and only have here what you can literally afford to lose. While it seems all amazing right now, the company is at a huuuuge market cap and the downside is pretty high. Not saying the company will fail, but will they sell enough to support this market cap? They might, or they might not. Make sure you get the money for that holiday, and don’t be greedy. Been playing with AIM companies for 15 years, seen everything here, boom to bust, bust to boom, the rampers, the derampers, the dreamers etc., all only concerned about their own holding, and some few good posters sharing decent info. Good luck, I hope you make enough for a nice holiday plus more.

Toff - You stated many companies who were in the ftse 100 which either have dropped off, or no longer trading, implying long term Investing doesn’t (always) work and investors should be proactive. I kind of agreed with some parts (the proactive part), but also countered your argument with the view that most people don’t consider 30 years as long term (that’s a lifetime), and you’d only be invested that long if company fundamentals continue to be strong (therefore being proactive). If you invested in woolwich, and you continued to invest as it was clear their business model no longer worked, then you’d be a fool. However, you chose those companies which failed/or dropped off. One can counter your “long term myth” view with companies which have thrived, e.g. Apple, Amazon etc..

Anyway, my response was light hearted with an underlying message that 30 years is not long term, it’s forever, and that no one should/does “invest and leave” in the hope/belief that staying put for that long will inevitably yield good returns.

Long term doesn’t meant forever. You invest long term as long as the fundamentals are still solid in a given company. Buy and leave is never a good strategy and no fund manager does that. So neither should you. Also, have you considered the return you’d have got in say, Halifax, if you’d invested in 1999 and had received all the dividends? Ultimately, if a company paid 627% dividend for 20 years, then it may not be as bad as you make it?

However, long term is usually ten years or so, and even then, always always reading the fundamentals of the company.

No one benefits from crazy low oil prices. As the lockdowns start to lift, OP will shift upwards swiftly, particularly if the supply remains at reduced level. I can’t see G going down to 80p, but if it does, it’ll present a good buying opportunity. That’s my view anyway.

Also, while I respect the technical charts (normally), not sure they work as well in AIM stocks. Ultimately they’re a self fulfilling prophecy, and since most retail investors haven’t got a clue about technical analysis, then that prophecy may or may not be be fulfilled.

Let’s hope OPEC++ sort themselves out and do everybody a favour
