The number of tons of ore to which the percentage applies is one of the factors. A low percentage but on a huge volume may be worth extracting, whereas a high percentage on a mall number of tons may not be.
Better to have a high percentage on a huge number of tons......... That is what we are looking for!

You are right. I shouldn't have included the year for putting it out to tender. So 3.5 years earlier.
Quite a time saving. I wonder what effect that would have on the NPV of $163m?
The RNS does not state if the NPV has been discounted back to today's date or if it is discounted back to the start of mining. Assuming the latter, there would be a big uplift in the NPV for a bidder if they already had the funding and could knock 3.5 years off the timescale.

Subject to funding and once fully operational, this plant will take over 500,000 tonnes per year of household and office waste (including hard-to-recycle plastics), left over after recycling and destined for landfill or incineration, and convert them into over 60 million litres of cleaner burning sustainable jet and road fuel each year. This will lead to an estimated net CO2 saving of over 80,000 tonnes per year.

So if a company with the money takes over SML, that time line could be shortened by 4.5 years.

Market cap £7.56m, After tax NPV of Redmoor at 8% estimated at current metal prices at $163m or over £120m at 1.35 $ to £. It is unlikely there is negative value in the rest of SML, so the question is, who is out there to arbitrage this opportunity? i.e. bid. Does no-one believe the numbers or is the risk attached to the numbers too high?
MY guess is that the risk is too high. More proving up the resources is needed and assessment of whether mining below a built up area is possible..............Any thoughts anyone?

The market is recognising the huge value hidden in these SW companies waiting to be unlocked.

Godolphin has an interest within the Great Wheal Vor project area, which was described in the Cornwall Mining conference as not being required for the GWV project. Cornish Tin has now secured standardised agreements with all necessary mineral owners to advance the Project through exploration to commercial production.

The ITA states:- "First Tin Limited was established in 2012 as Treliver Minerals Ltd. The company, which was known as Anglo Saxony Mining between 2017 and 2021, is the holder of several tin deposits, including Tellerhauser and Breitenbrunn."

Treliver near Wadebridge in Cornwall, was an abortive venture by MT a few years back. My guess is that the Treliver mineral rights are still held by what is now First Tin ltd. This is expected to list on the London Stock Exchange in early 2022.
