@neilrich3. I totally agree with you here and it's almost being used as a tool and narrative with a negative effect.
I'm sure the sales team are working flat out and hopefully figures year end will reflect this.

To be honest I would prefer any news to be announced over a period of time and not one hit, keeps the attention span a little longer and builds interest

On thinking, I believe this is being proposed to help save the airline companies with easier and minimal travel restrictions. These companies are very shortly going to be on their knees again and will need the winter/skiing holidays running smoothly to keep some kind of revenues coming in.
Wrong in my opinion, but it's all about the money presently and we will have to await the consequences closer to Xmas?
