No Snige you thick as shite remainers always try and draw a comparison between controlled & EU migration, when there really is none to be made. C Imm figures are arbitrary, 50% of them are students all paying tuition fees rents & insurance the rest are in gameful employment usually NHS, or are self funded meeting minumum collateral requirements. So the only thing we can read into C Imm figures is that we're not producing enough home grown talent in key areas.
Now we've caught wind of Blair & Brown's cunning plan to flood the country full of low rent Asians who could seemingly get in on the most tenuous grounds I'd say that controlled migrants definatley increase the GDP per capita and are an asset to the country.
On the other hand our EU migrant friends tend to pick cabbages make beds wash cars & serve coffee & although most are very pleasant & hardworking, what they bring to the party is very limited & only of benefit to employees & landlords. They have a reducing effect on gdp per capita & as a country we are obliged to provide costly public services to them.

What if it was as a direct result of EU migration in the low end private sector that we need High end public sector controlled immigration in schools & hospitals to teach polish kids & patch their parents up when they stick a pitch fork through their foot. We could probably stop controlled immigration overnight if we only had control of our borders.... now there's a thought?

I'd take all the controlled immigrants you can chuck at us, all paying rent / mortgages taxes tuition fees. Invariably doing jobs we actually need doing like NHS, Care profession. Not working in car washes or making up beds in cheap hotels living 10 to a room in private rented & claiming benefits once their marriages break down. High skilled = controlled migration, Low skilled = EU migration.
