Title: Quantum Blockchain Technologies unveils 'Method C' AI-driven bitcoin mining breakthrough

Host: Hello, you're watching Proactive London, I'm joined by Francesco Gardin, he's the Chairman and the CEO of Quantum Blockchain Technologies. Francesco, very good to speak with you today.

Gardin: Very good morning to you, Stephen.

Host: So Francesco, your R&D update this week, including a new bitcoin mining Method C, which uses AI. And yet, with the release yesterday, pretty negative market reaction. Why do you think that was?

Gardin: It was a surprise but not really a surprise. Because we know there are expectations that our Methods A&B would be by now industrial products, which is still not the case. We'll touch on that later. But the release of, the announcement about Method C in our view as a company is major, major achievement. It's like more than two years' work by a machine learning team, and the results obtained are something that the industry and the scientific community never believed would be possible.

Gardin: So yes, it's another method in our basket , and we have now showed in three different ways that applying AI to bitcoin mining is doable and we did it. In terms of the products, I could give you an example: say that we're a pharma company and we came up with a formula, actually three formulas. And when you have a formula then you have to turn it into a pill, a tablet that you can sell. But for the production of these tablets you need to use third-party processing plant for which you don't have documents, but you have to still product the tablets. And that's exactly where we are. We have the formula, the formula is working in the lab, we use third-party hardware to develop it and turn it into a product, and it's turned out to be a little bit more complex than expected, but we're still very determined to deliver it.

Host: Tell us more about Method C and why this could be a game changer, Francesco.

Gardin: The Method C is what we call in the AI community an Oracle. An Oracle is something which tells you something about the future. It doesn't do anything in terms of processing the data, but it tells you the nature of the data. So when you run the several trillions and billions of computation of the SHA, then to know that you can avoid up to thirty percent [30%] of these computations, it's really what the industry wants because you're not wasting time, and you saving energy, and you getting to the result faster. So we are extremely pleased that we could discover this Method C, which is a major, major achievement.

I think this assumption comes from the follow text in the 24 Mar 2026 RNS:

"Results from the tests on the ASIC manufacturer's rig will not be able to be shared with the general Bitcoin mining market, hence the need to complete identical testing on a generic miner, such as the S9."

which I think some have assumed means the S9 results will be published in an RNS. But it does not say that. Nor does it say that the S9 results will be shared with the general Bitcoin mining market - but it strongly suggests it. If we are lucky, then the S9 results will be shared with other miners whom are not under NDAs, and those miners will talk about the results on their websites or social media.

Probably for a similar reasons why they didn't release the results of the ASIC testing from the 8 April 2025 NDA; and didn't release information about the deals that were supposed to happen after summer; and didn't release information about the progress of the immediate release and sale of Method A&B (RNSed almost a year ago on 19 June 2025); and didn't end up with the expected revenue in 2024; and didn't explain why the 2023 £2m Placing did not fund the company through to revenue (as stated in the 30 Oct 2023 RNS).

You are right - the test results of Method C AI Oracle on the Bitmain S9 should be ready for QBT to showcase at the conference which starts on Monday.

But I don't think there has been any RNS which states that the S9 results will be released to the market. But I might have missed it. If you could please tell me which RNS states this, then I will be very grateful.

The reason is that QBT does not have the resources/ability to deal with multiple ASIC manufacturers all at once. As per Gardin's 4 Feb 2026 interview (at about 4:00):

It is not due to the NDAs. According to the 6 Mar 2026 RNS:

"To give us the best chance of success, we are focusing on testing the rigs of 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒖𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒕 𝒂 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆, in order to shorten this current phase in the commercialisation of our products."

Mrhanji said "Bitcoin LAS vegas is next week - APRIL 27-29 ...surely they would want the testing to wrap up too soon."

Yes, the conference is Monday, so no doubt they'll be travelling over the weekend and unable to do much testing.

Gardin has said he plans to have meetings at the conference with the ASIC manufacturers and show them the test results.

So this means the tesults need to be ready by Friday 24th. And if they have the results, they will have to announce it, so if everything is still going to plan then we should see this RNS by close of play this Friday.

But I doubt that we will see such an RNS until May (if at all).

Then the fundraise will be an IPO for BlocKeeper rather than a Placing for QBT.

Out of the £500k, there's probably only £300k for QBT (fees plus £100k to BlocKeeper).

Cash burn is about £150k per month.

Thus it is likely another fundraise will be needed by mid June.

The only way the Placing shares can be 'out of thw way' is if they are cancelled. Unless that happens, then their existence will result/has resulted in a 10% dilution of shareholder value.

Llywelyn, I am in tune with their modus operandi. So far, the things that have happened are consistent with that modus operandi, and are thus expected. It's not rocket science.

In my post of 2 Mar 2026 09:41, I predicted several things that would occur before any significant deal is announced. So far, two of tbose predictions have happened (a fundraise, the company announce a major pivot away from mining optimisation and into something different).

Also, seeing as we have not heard of the outcome from yesterday's meeting with the patent examiner, I expect that a third of my predictions is a step closer to occuring (the company patents are rejected or the company withdraw them to prevent the details becoming public). However, I reckon QBT may pay to extend the time frame in order to drag the process out as long as possible so that they can still claim they have patents pending.

Yes, several reasonbly sized Buys. At this historic low you can't blame people for bottom fishing.

Just a reminder that in the 24 Mar 2026 RNS QBT were careful to cover their backside:

"Having performed exhaustive tests on the 𝒔𝒊𝒎𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓 for many months, the Company 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒔 that the AI Oracle will duly perform when scaled-up to a multiple ASIC miner although there 𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒈𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆 at this stage. "

They cannot give guarantees because they don't know if there will be any benefit, regardless how confident they seem.

My gut feeling tells me that they will announce results that they call positive or interesting, no deal will be announced, but that they either need to made amendments to the Method or the ASIC manufacturer wants to conduct further tests.

Will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Please say in which RNS this was said, and please provide the quote that states this.

I have not seen any RNS states that the S9 results will be announced to the market.

That is the concern several users here have - QBT will simply claim that the results are "successful" but give no supporting facts or figures by which the claim be verified.

May I ask what you base this belief on? Or do you mean that you hope the results are good?

The way I see it, there has been many reasons given in the recent flurry of RNSs and interviews to be wary - they have added complexity, given superfluous detail, alluded to multiple delays, and set the stage for multiple goalpost pivots.

Interview with the USPTO Examiner was scheduled for today.

Does anyone know when and where the USPTO Examiner's decision/outcome from this meeting will be available?

From the 1 April 2026 RNS:

"The Company confirms that its US patent attorneys have already scheduled an interview with the USPTO Examiner on 20 April 2026, and preparations are underway to support this discussion."

miker444. that directly contradicts what the 24 March 2026 RNS said, which was:

"Results from the tests on the ASIC manufacturer's rig will 𝙣𝙤𝙩 be able to be shared with the general Bitcoin mining market..." [emphasis mine]

Hexam said "they are trying to effectively rent hash from miners who do the physical mining so it is virtual from QBT’s perspective"

That makes sense. I suppose the idea is that if QBT buy some hashing time, then QBT can mine 30% more bitcoin in that hashing time than any other miner could.

But to do that, wouldn't they need to install their Methods on the systems that actually do the hashing?

And isn't this the major stumbling block - that they are yet to successfully install their Methods on any commercially competitive mining rig?
