I think you'll find that 48% screamed against it and that the 52% screaming for it had a large contingency that will (with all due respect) probably be dead before the end of this decade. Brexit was a huge con secured through lies, some of which were painted on the side of a bus! Where is that US trade deal we were told would be the easiest in history? Nowhere, that's where. The gullible public lapped up the lies and we all got pulled down by their inability/unwillingness to separate fact from fiction.

I'm not sure what German capital you're referring to but I wish we had half of their motor industry. EVs are the future and VW (including Audi, Porsche and Bugatti), BMW and Mercedes are all industry leaders. They have been and always will be. We will always drive German cars, drink French wine and holiday in Spain and Italy. The EU has industries that we will never be able to compete with and that's a fact.

And let's not forget, without the "hippy poo" we would have woken up to the climate crisis far too late. I, for one, am grateful that there have been people out there for decades fighting to save the planet. We all owe them a debt of gratitude IMHO. I'm pretty sure we'd be really screwed without their efforts.

Rr101 - it wasn't one of those matters that the BOD had to notify the market about. They would have done an RNS if the regulations required one. The non-regulatory PR is usually on their website.

A lot of good points there. Glad I didn't vote for these numpties. At least I can sit back and laugh at their incompetence without feeling guilty about it.

I allocated the bulk of my pension to overseas funds when the Brexit vote went through. Ironically, so did a lot of people who voted for "sovereignty". Says it all really.

Some of these may well be nominee accounts for underlying PIs. For example, Hargreaves Lansdown is no doubt just a nominee account. I hold CARD shares registered in the name of HL nominees.

hodgy2108 - your aunty sure does give you a lot of precise information. Does she give you this information on demand, or is it something she casually shares with the whole family over Sunday lunch?

If that data is correct, I'm fairly certain that CF can identify exactly who your aunt is from their internal records. They may not be best pleased with non-public information being shared with you and by you on a public forum.

Of course it may just be b*ll*ck5 in which case your aunt is in no danger of getting sacked.

I don't see the interims as being too far ahead of expectations but you never know. If the figures are not too exciting we could see stop losses being cleared out resulting in a bit of a drop first thing in the morning. I'm still hoping we end the day in the low to mid 60's at the very least.

The bigger impact on the SP will be the elephant in the room. It will be interesting to see if there is any detail on the debt position.

Yeah, I did read the article too.

In the same vain it could be said that this is as good as it's going to get for Dunelm. And yet...

The lack of a special dividend has hit the SP quite hard. There has been some discussion elsewhere about the sustainability of growth post Covid but that issue didn't hold back the likes of Dunelm, which shot up 10% on results day.

Dunelm did announce a special dividend following a covid boost. It's disappointing that KGF went down the share buyback route.

Surely the tide will turn soon.

This stock is a real diamond in the rough IMHO.
