I will be sending the dealing desk at Lombard a Thank You card purchased from Card Factory once the short squeeze happens.

The real beauty of it is that the stamp will cost me more than the greeting card itself :)

If Lombard were clever, they wouldn't have shorted in the mid 50's. The clever thing to do would have been to hold off with the short until next week, at the earliest. This stock will only go up between now and the next update IMHO.

I suspect Lombard were speculating on a lockdown or a big rise in the base rate. Neither happened. We shall of course find out but throughout December at no point would I have swapped my long position for their short.

From what I gather, Lombard need to SP to fall by 10% before they start making any profit. By the time the update is out it will probably be closer to 20%. Nothing to suggest that such drops are likely to happen.

Starts a thread on Dec 8 stating "There will be some good news being announced in tomorrows RNS which will be positive for all parts of the business to move forward in the future !" SP then dives the following day when the trading update comes out. Not that positive then. Claims he actually meant "positive" in 6 months time. Yeah, right! Why not just say in 10 years time and be done with it...?

There were so many shoppers in my local store today that an actual riot broke out. The local police struggled to contain the crowds so the local TA were dispatched to restore order.

Fortunately nobody was hurt but it does go to show that strong demand is out there for the two for one Christmas card offers.

I posted on 27 November that I didn't think this would go below 110p. I still think that's about where the SP should be but it's looking more and more like it may dip below that level.

The BOE decision tomorrow will have an impact on the markets. RR is drifting in the tide right now and it's been stormy winter so far.

As for CINE , I'd give it a few more days to settle.

Went into CF today to buy a birthday card. Woman in front of me had a box of Christmas cards. The checkout lady tells her that she can get another box for free, as it was a two for one offer. Woman says no thanks, I only need one box. I said to myself Jurassic Park! She just left us more stock to sell and paid the same price she would have done had she taken it with her :)

On the other hand, I did wonder whether the cards were so bad we couldn't give them away but then why would she buy a box to begin with :/

I can't see 98p but this stock is definitely drifting in the wrong direction for me.
