RE: NICE to evaluate16 Jun 2022 14:38
In essence, a worthy RNS, to get NICE backing will help enormously.
No it’s not, as a few have moaned about (yet again,) a revenue building RNS (sales, contracts etc) but........ what, I don’t think anyone has either mentioned or perhaps recognised here, is that this is of fantastic “promotional” value.
(Just a shame that it’s come out in an overall red sea market, otherwise I think this would have been much more warmly received.)
This may well speed up and/or make aware other NHS Trusts of GDR and it’s fabulous AIHL device. Therefore we may well hear of new Trusts that are going to crack on with this. As someone mentioned earlier, every day there might well be a newborn, in critical, to then be given the antibiotics that affect the hearing because of their current practices.
For sure, this is a path that’s going to benefit GDR, us, and most of all...those babies.
With regards to timelines... see page 57 in the document Bobby posted earlier..... not sure where Roger got 290 days from (maybe it’s there elsewhere).
From what I’ve read the eventual “publication” is at 23 weeks (203 days) from the start.
There are though, from what I see, much earlier timelines that we may well hear from. As little as upto 5 weeks for some positive recognition.
We also, from what I can ascertain, don’t know “when” the ball started rolling with NICE so this may already be in process.
If I’m correct in saying (ie...Manchester), sales can crack on regardless. So how I see this RNS is that it can only help boost and speed up other Trusts getting involved.
If I’m also correct in saying, that NICE wouldn’t just check out anything.... I believe we are already in good stead with the NHS and it’s just a matter of process and time.
This may well create a sped up roll out throughout other Trusts across the UK let alone Europe contacts and global.
Can only hope so.... but this must set us in more positive grounds, regardless.
