Tbh 50% down in just the last 5 months surely should be telling everyone there is something fundamentally wrong with this company.

I'm hoping it will bounce a little from here.

They are sticking to their guns with their short aren't they, with the short increased again on the 26th.

Persimmon have their own help to buy scheme so hopefully that will help with sales going forward but yes the government could have gave something to boost building.

Ah ok. I don't really understand the rules of shorting, I get the concept.

So if you say the shares are sold and you receive the money as soon as you open a short then I take your word for it.

Funny i just looked at the same thing their last five shorts were all opened at a lower price (didn't go back further). But i got a question, what if they didn't sell the stock they borrowed. Does it then not make much difference to them if the stock goes up or down?

Yeah I'm they do think another drop is due or at least hoping. But if i were them i would be worried about the upcoming budget where the government could do something to spur more house building and easier for people to buy.

Like i am worried about tax increases

To which the later is probably more likely with this government but who knows.

Each rise just gets sold into and I'm hoping it's just the shorters trying to control the stock and will get hit hard soon especially if they need to start buying quick to get out and close their short which will be nice for us.

Longtimeinvestor another question lol. Is your average how much you're owed by Lloyds divided by how many shares you got?

Because if all your shares are now free shares surely the average is zero

Why does the share price not move once a buy out has been announced even though lots of trading still going on.

Is it the market makers just hold it there no matter how many buys go in?

Your investment strategy does seem to pay off by the looks of it. I've been investing for years but have always lost hence the user name. Spread bets I've not really looked into, just heard you can lose a lot of money and quick so stayed clear.

@longterminvester when will you totally exit a stock your invested in? Or do you plan to keep trading but also hold some for ever no matter where the share price goes?

Don't really see the point in dividends. Share price drops what they pay so what's the point.

Imagine having a fixed ISA for a year and at the end of the year you get the interest but your capital drops exactly what they pay you in interest and actually drops more in most cases.
