Funding has always been an issue with Omega, but they do have a number of options. A couple of lth if they still are who post on here know what could be available to them. The difference now is that large amounts of revenue is imminent. A government income stream would not find a problem in establishing a rolling credit facility for example.
The governments schemes can also be utilised. If people digest the rns and link it to previous ones then finance should be o.k without a placing. cd4200 sales should equate to a further 400,000 units in the near future £1.2 million revenue as per unitaid. capex cut on allergens will also help. Also still 1.4 million of current o.d facility available
People seem to be assuming that revenue will not materialise for a while. INMO that is wrong we are dealing with covid so time is the essence . Also im sure the government would pay a deposit to secure manufacturing on an order.
I can understand the drop in food intollerence may cause a concern, but that's 30 percent on a quarters earnings not the entire year.as the ceo mentioned this will more than be offset by the Moligic deal and that's even without RTC poc.
Inmv. If they do do a placing it will not be until after design freeze and when the true extent of orders materialise. So it would only be used to bolster expansion in some form. So any placing would not have a detrimental effect. Who knows they may even acquire a manufacturing plant either here or overseas.

I wouldn't get to hung up about a placing even it does happen. Future sales would easily cover any dilution, but I still think providing sales come quickly it would not be needed. For example say first poc order is for 1 million tests. omega should net 3 million from that. I would also imagine some kind of rolling credit could be possible as the sales are underwritten by government. The immediate concern for me is that we now seem to have too many short term p,investors. You never know maybe most of them have now left. One thing to bear in mind is omegas rns announcements. inmv have never really been their strong point. Your better off thinking of a precise question and then ask the company directly. They will answer provided its not price sensitive. Also a placing may be directed at institutions. I don't like to admit it, but I would like to see oryx and chris Mills being actively involved again due to Ekf connection. Maybe some kind of convertible could be set up if it is for a small amount.

Phoenix my understanding is that the company will utilize gvnmt schemes first.if they did place inmho it would be for a small amount. By then hopefully share price would be back in the 80s

The lack of new institutional investors has been my concern for a while. Purely for the reason that many new investors do not understand the company and will sell and buy on certain news events where an institution has a bigger understanding as to why they have invested and will hold until their investment comes to fruitition. As for pr it is better than it was.
Having said that many people selling today have not grasped what is going to transpire during the next twelve months.
Firstly omega has shut down part of a loss making division enabling resources to go to the covid section which will generate considerable revenue almost starting immediately.
Even if Omega only make £1 per test from Moligic it is going to run into the milions for a good few years. More importantly the tie up will enable them to develop further tests as Covid mutates .
Then we have RTC. again this is imminent which can also generate millions in the short term
Food tech will recover especially due to developments in China
Finally cd4 which by year end should have received who approval.
So in summary my view is just hold. I am. if anything they are focussing more now on divisions which will yield substantial income short and also continually long term.

Inmv. This will come good even if you need to wait 28 months. The antibody test will support the price at these levels until the three segments generate real revenue. Numerous people have also posted that omega has a lot of irons in the fire re covid. Not sure what exactly but it does sound good in the long term. For me this is a hold until the three segments reach frutition which isn't far off now. My only concern is the lack of institutional investors now that oryx and l ang are a minority. So it would be nice if a new one comes on board

That would nice Roth but there is still a possibility of a mega deal. Either way there should be good news

I'm afraid that's always been omegas problem .the ceo tries,but there does seem to be along deep seated problem with p.r. having said that they do hold a investors evening yearly and also have always answered any questions I have had. .I think the problem lies with the nomad but I may be wrong.. also if there is no news. What can they say..

That's about spot on imv Phoenix. Design freze will support the current price and hopefully higher. Then inmo it is down to sales,but the bigger prize will be food tech and cd4 advanced which will produce good continuous sales for many years..
I'm more excited by the three segments coming together .for me covid is a great bonus which will hopefully finance the company until the rest of the business comes online. Just wish people would look at that rather than just covid

The key point is hear that a antibody test is vital in utilising people who have been infected. 0lasma transfusion etc inmho. Either way antibody testing is the key. Just depends on how it will be used. Just hope we don't end up a totalluon state.

So all we now is large pharma and shady gvnt deals stopping this. On top of that we have 60 plus scientists belonging to sage arguing. Then we have politicians making a decision on the back of it. So inmho. Smooth salesmen will eventually win the gvnt over.
