Maybe some kind of spin off similar to what occurred with Ekf..Something is needed inmv to move Omega forward and sustain what is left of its lth.

My view and not anyone elses. But r3 will happen this year. Its probably cost more than envisaged.. So another one for the good old tax payer to pick up in less taxes.

My feeling is that a merger or takeover is inevitable in the near distance future.Due to a small number of players in the u.k. What is interesting inmv is that how a number of them are connected in some form or another . For example Walbrooks connection with Ekf and Omega.

It certainly does feel like something is about to happen. I think whatever happens the share price will be a lot higher than where it is now. Like yourself i have been here a long time and wiould welcome rerate. I feel we are now on the home straight. Last year i would have welcomed a takeover but not so sure now with three major events occurring during the next eight months.Thats without egg or any potential acquisition. Onmho

For me i have discounted it . As hmg simply cannot be trusted inmo. Maybe they start off with good intentions but then the goal posts are moved for what ever reason.

I have a rough idea when i will reduce my holding which will depend on how things unfold during the next six to twelve months . This is mainly down to how i want to utilise part of my holding.
If for example they started to pay a dividend and continued to expand then that would change things for me. What i will say is that had covid not come along and the share price is where it is now i would have sold up most of my holding. For me i still believe in them and feel the best is still to come.i am hoping that they hit 1.5. As im sure most people do.maybe a stabke 1.20 is more realistic.but who knows. As for the size of my holding. It is about two thirds of what it was when covid hit. My main sale was before the good news started to filter through. So that was not good timing.

It depends how you view costs as there will always be some price to pay in some form. I would imagine that total costs would be collectively pooled including any slight mark up from omega. Just my view in a ideal world.

Thats how i see it. In a worse case scenario in terms of profit margin. Omega will always fill its capacity inmv
From a ethical point of view it would be nice if a proportion of the capacity is utilised in this way.

Fwiw. As far as i can see they have ample land. More than most to capitalise on their golden opportunity inmho.

I think you have just about summed matters up. Omega seems to have many posters on here who are day trading the share. A shame inmv,but that is the price the company is paying inmv for over use of twitter and using a unofficial bb spokesperson..That falls with Omega and their advisors and no one else inmv.

Also if it takes another six months So what. Income will come from the other division's let alone any small contracts from covid sales.. i.e for research purposes .in summary my view is omega is pretty well underpinned at these levels with unlimited upside.

Twatcher. That inmv is the worst case scenario.
So unless covid testing ends during the next few month's Omega is not a bad investment .

I would not be surprised if discussions have not already taken place. Remember Omega sold off part of the infectious disease division to them . Which i hasten to add was on very good terms.

Twatcher. Worse case scenario omega would manufacture moligics tests to fill capacity for low income countries. Even making 10p per test justifies the current mkt cap inmv .

Computer909. We wont be competing but filling capacity. Obviously the profit margin would be lower

Hopefully the company is already in dialogue with companies that ate already selling tests and need the extra capacity.

Moligic is not on the porton down list. So my assumption is that it will not be the hmg chosen test. My view is that the moligic test will be sold overseas as i posted yesterday. India together with some African countries is my bet.

Maybe they had a plan all along to embed bkr . Develop r3 and columbus before selling the business.. it certainly is going to look very attractive at year end to someone. Inmo
