We were onto something noferkinamesleft. £40m placing at a 5% discount to yesterday's sp. They decide to raise, but only at the very end of a steady 10-month sp decline from 1720p to yesterday's 1030p.

I hope we're not anywhere near that situation SB. The usual reason given for a delisting is the need for funding and management's belief they'll find sources easier on the private markets (and that public markets are not valuing the company adequately). EKF is supposedly cash-generative, so it shouldn't happen, but.... I don't know, something smells bad here... Hopefully I'm wrong.

As for AIM, I agree, that market is beyond sick. I really think it's terminal, by which I mean my expectation is that there won't be an AIM market within 3-5 years. The entire market cap of all of AIM is now sooo insignificant! What/if they'll replace it with, who knows? My bet, without much conviction, is some sort of sub-category of the main market, with less onerous regs and lower fees..... A bit like AIM really ;)

If there's a delisting, it won't be at "a slight premium to current price to get it over the line", that's a takeover. If they announce they're delisting, the sp will promptly tank 50-80%. Let's hope they don't have the 75% vote required...

I believe the stock is being buffeted by negative sentiment around the impending NI/min.wage increases and around a very tight and getting tighter fiscal position. Not a lot of govt. money around.

Worth listening to James Carthew discuss TRIG and especially the change in fee arrangements. Overall he's undecided about the changes, but doesn't like the 3% over nav/market cap 'takeover fee'. I thought was incentivising, but he clearly doesn't like fees which incentivise takeovers .

Sorry noferkinamesleft, didn't see yr post. Yes of course shareholders would've been better off taking the offer. No question. What on earth were the BOD thinking? Focussed on feathering their own nests, I imagine.

Didn't Advanced Energy offer £19.50 a share just 10 months ago, which XP Power management refused? Didn't Advanced Energy then withdraw their offer saying they couldn't complete their due diligence because XP Power management refused engagement? Seems a long time ago now....

Sustainability of dividend is surely in question but a 50% cut still leaves us with an 8% yield. Oversold in my view.

It is relentless. We lost the full amount of the divi on ex-divi day, which is normal, but then the share hasn't stopped dropping since - we've now lost the best part of another divi's worth.
