Surely that brand value is for the jewellery made from Clogau gold not the stuff coming out of the ground? That’s where the brand is.

We have a jeweller, which is great but the raw material is elemental, gold is gold is gold.

We can realise the premium, but it’s dangerous to apply it to the assay figures IMO.

I would have bought at 3p when I first saw it and not waited for AML to do nothing.

My problem is that I am an Engineer.

Gold and diamonds are of more use to me as a non-tarnishing conductive and and industrial abrasive than twinkly things.

The quality of the jewellery made from the raw materials (ie the skill of the jeweller) is the value add.

I’m a complete pleb, my wedding ring is Tungsten carbide as it’s the better material for the job and cost £22. Lol

Gold is an elemental metal. Therefore gold has to be the same wherever it is from.

So ‘Welsh Gold’ can only be valuable by cache or limit of supply.
