great questions to the AGM - looking at CA to CL there is only a 4m shortfall but considering they have only just started production that should change rapidly but shame on you - you didn't ask him to post picture of cash registers !!!! think, barring another catastrophe, we are finally on the way. GL
we've gone up to 3.395 - every little helps !!
is this really possible?
CFU win UK microregeneration award -
OH well, it was a nice colour whilst it lasted - I do so like blue.
now, now, calm down maybe the tankers have arrived back after all !!. But just look at all those trades today, I'm almost getting excited that this might get back to what I paid. Never thought they would get this far down,
enjoy it whilst it lasts - still no new pictures, just think what it will do when we see those notes coming back in on the tankers !!
Gas to power Alkane Energy (LSE: ALK) derives most of its £6.6m revenue by generating electricity using engines fuelled by naturally occurring methane that has seeped into abandoned coal mines. It also generates some using conventional gas. Modular engines are placed near to the source of gas and the generated electricity is fed to the national grid. Overall, Alkane currently has 38MW of installed electricity generating capacity. Although growth in cash flow has been brisk in recent years, coalmine methane (CMM) rapidly depletes and the gas assets are written down relatively quickly. Alkane has maintained growth in turnover and profits by opening more of its sites for production, but now seeks to expand into other revenue streams, like generating electricity from conventional gas, biogas and coal bed methane.
would have to agree with you. No matter what good news is released on companies the shares rally for a short time only then go back down. It would be far better for companies in this climate to hold good news until after the madness has stabilised.I've certainly changed the type of companies I hold hoping they will be the ones to recover the best . best of luck - we all need it.!!
Our palm oil is obviously doing a fabulous job of greasing the downward slope of the price - when will it 'bottom' (sorry was trying to stay away from mentioning short skirts) but too tempting. I wonder if the lack of rainfall in our growing regions as well as Germany, France and a few others will have any effect on the price. They all produce rapeseed, corn and some soya so if they are in shortsupply could palm oil be used as an alternative. I really have no idea but the way things are going any glimmer of hope iswelcome
do you get the 'energy and capital' new letter? Interesting article on A123 that I would like your opinion on but finding it difficult to send the link. News this week out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) says a “refuelable” battery is on the horizon... Not rechargeable, as in plug it in and wait; but refuelable, as in pour in a special liquid (pictured right) that contains cathodes and anodes composed of tiny particles, and you're good to go. That would make “filling up” an electric car the same as today's gasoline cars. Instead of a multi-hour charge time, which is the main resistance to plug-in cars, you'd simply top-off your battery tank. It's a billion-dollar idea. And a company has already been created to bring it to market. 24M has been funded with $16 million in venture capital and federal funding. 24M is a spinoff of A123 Systems (NASDAQ: A123), another MIT-incubated company. Both are the brainchild of Yet-Ming Chiang, Professor of Ceramics at MIT. These are the kinds of ideas you want to know about and invest in early. Another Chiang You Need to Know You may have heard me mention another Chiang who's making waves in the battery world. His name is Henry Chiang, and it's been nearly a year since he unveiled the details about how he was perfecting a new type of battery. Since then, the type of batteries he's working on have been used to power a solar-powered plane for a 24-hour flight. That plane is powered entirely by solar panels that store energy in this new type of battery. It could have flown perpetually, if not for the human pilot on board. One day, entire houses and towns will be powered this way, storing renewable energy in Henry Chiang's batteries to be used as needed. Indeed they've already entered that market — as well as the small electric vehicle market. In the first quarter sales were up 51%. And they aren't expected to slow down anytime soon... Two separate orders totaling 500 units have already been logged since then.
as i think I have said before you should apply for the job - your already doing most of it. !
thank goodness this board is back to being sensible with loads of good research from geseppe.
If buying pressure continues, then we should be ready for a breakout. tomorrow.
surely it must be cash registers ......please !!
do you reckon this has bottomed yet ??
not quite the cash registers I was hoping for but they now have pictures of lorries loaded up and leaving the plant. definate improvement !
if they are talking about delivery vehicles in the city then perhaps they should look at an even better extender of a bag of oats to an horse and cart, simple, cheap and doesn't take too much development.
thanks, but the crown is most definately yours !
Here's a reply I got from Thomas Melczer as I was concerned that A123 were talking about 'other' things (un-named) as well as batteries. I feel reassured that they have taken the time to reply to my concerns "our project with Smith regarding a range extender runs very well. Our fuel cell works as range extender and is charging the battery. Therefore for Smith to look for new battery suppliers has not really any impact on our project with them. For us it is good to use excellent batteries. Our system will double the range of operation for the vehicle, which will have a electric drive and a battery. Hope that answers your questions. BR and please stay committed." Mit freundlichen Grüßen | With best regards Thomas Melczer
