Barking, buybacks can work but normally only when the shares are then cancelled. Putting them into treasury means they can be issued in case of need & the market is normally unimpressed by such an action.

In the meantime the ltiip simply highlights the disdain they have for their shareholders.

Unfortunately this is a company that has always been guilty of false promises & substantial delays. Since the serial liar RM we have had to put up with it & Bo S is clearly no better. With the recent change at the top we hope for better things but somehow I can't see it.

We have seen from UJO that buybacks held in treasury do little to help the sp whereas if the shares were cancelled it would have a better effect. in effect it allows them to retain control of what was meant to be a return via divi of cash to it´s shareholders as originally promised. so another lie from 2 of the biggest liars on AIM.

It may be a cheap entry level but itdoesn't help lth's most of who won't throw good money after bad.The company buying back shares stops shareholders receiving a dividen whilst management award themselves free options. It's a no lose bet for them.

Yep all of those JD & more. I don't get the rational on the Simwell purchase either. Not to mention Grizzly Island & the Colter 'discovery' both discretely airbrushed out. They have acheived nothing to date & no , i don't regard the sale of Victory as being a success. As for the monetisation path for Cali, don't make me laugh. They are so clueless it's amazing.

As for the share buyback I see the fools have already stuck their snouts in the trough ! Buybacks are fine if cancelled NOT if held in treasury as per the points you made. It's almost organised theft from shareholders.

The question you should be asking yourself is how much our stake in WN will be reduced byif Rathlin do manage to get a partner in.

Jack. The 2 fools are busted flushes. Poor project selection, lack of knowledge of the O&G industry & so many other shortcomings.
And still they sit in their ivory towers acheiving nothing except creating misery for their lth's. Yet still paying themselves fortunes for appaling management. They are currently doing everything they can to keep us in the dark on WN.

Things will only start to play out once we receive the final tranche of funds from Shell. In the meantime the 2 fools will use every trick in the book to obfuscate the reality of their abject failure. Dreadful behaviour from our CEO's who I doubt are fit for purpose. We still have stony silence from them although eventually they will have to tell the truth.

Olda that's about the size of it. They have form when it comes to giving shareholders updates. On of their many many failings & gawd knows they have those in spades.

Odins, that figure spouted by RBD was an npv10 number which is total carp & they admitted as such. Maybe 1 mill is about right.

Well they did say they expected a good deal of interest but talk is cheap..

On reflection I don't think there's a snowballs chance of getting much for Dunrobin, although whatever price is acheived will be hailed as an outstanding validation of the 2 fools business accumen.
