Yes bonkers, if/when BCN goes through gangfeng will own the stake. I don’t see a way that the germans let the chinese own the major lithium mine in their own backyard, gangfeng won’t want to be forced to sell on the cheap, so imagine there will be a block sale with JV to an OEM and a premium. Block buyer will be happy to pay a premium as they wouldn’t be able to accumulate that many shares on the open market. Centerbridge and henry maxey are no dummies either and they own a significant chunk between them, they will be involved. Maybe even centerbridge buys it and tries to take the company private. Again I can’t see the germans going for that, having an ‘evil american vulture fund’ controlling their lithium.

BTW The comparisons with BCN need to stop; their asset is in mexico in a state ruled by organised crime. ZNWD is in saxony…the rule of law is somewhat more adhered to….

We do not have common ‘directors’. There is one - Secker is a NED here so no executive function, he is the CEO of BCN. Rifaat isn’t on the board of BCN, he’s an adviser and co. Sec. They are outnumbered 3:2 anyway and are there purely as a legacy of the buyout. I doubt they will remain much longer.

Nice to see a few 50k trades going through, liquidity clearly improving here.

Oddly wrt institutional buying, the higher the price goes, the more institutions can get involved, they are mostly limited by their mandates on minimum market cap and maximum % exposure to a company.

Consistent buying this morning, 170k vs 5k, should nudge up again soon. Onwards and upwards to the 30s…
