George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
What have we been bid for it so far?
Who on the outside wants 30% of something that will be mined 10years into a project?
Stop dreaming and get real. The market is pricing in very little for this asset and rightly so. Focus on amapa and EMH, the rest are sideshows.
If someone offered £20m for sonora, i’d rip their arm off. That’s half our market cap, gives us a huge cash pile that negates the need for any placing and would enable us to advance Amapa.
Sonora is riddled with problems.
Let’s not lie, sonora is and always will be a pretty grubby asset. I never liked bacanora. Doesn’t mean our part of sonora isn’t valuable, but also it isn’t really key to our valuation.
EMH and ZNWD are much better plays, fortunately we own ~10% of one of them.
This is dreadful reporting, unless they see something I can’t. Ganfeng own 8.68% as of 22 dec 2021. This tallies with their 28.65% of BCN of the 30.89% BCN stake in ZNWD. The 50m shares issued to the creditors of ZNWD for the extra 50% of deutsche lithium acquired are represented predominantly by G&P gmbh, it currently stands at 8% having sold down 3m in the last reporting period. I think alexander elsman’s share also came from the 50m issued and his role in the bankruptcy. He owns 8.5m as of the latest holdings reporting period.
Given 85m shares have traded since the placing, it is going to be really interesting when TR1s come to see how the ownership structure now lies. Right enough for now, busy day!
Of course he wouldn’t, but they are not an imminent threat to non-static lithium batteries.
More of a threat to something like VRFBs produced by BMN etc (although I’m sure you’ll be burnt at the stake if you suggested that in the BMN thread!).
Sodium redox flow batteries are very exciting for static storage, but not viable for vehicles. Sodium ion batteries may one day be the go to for EV, but not any time soon. Certainly not going to be affecting my valuation on this company.
EMH raised AUD7m in feb 21, they haven’t raised since.
Before then it was £350k in jan 20 and £750k in august 19.
Not the same. ZNWD do not need to raise any time soon, they literally just raised £6m, which is more than all those raises combined…
Focus on the project funding, talk of a straight equity placing any time soon is a total red herring.
Push2 - Yeah it’s 757k t from out of date DFS. Doesn’t include new explo areas etc. Expect the resource to grow substantially.
Even so, with LCE at $36k odd per tonne atm that is still $27bn value of lithium in the ground. 30 year LoM vs 200 year gibberish too as jam2morrow rightly points out.
Foz - good work, you know it makes sense!
