The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Looks like they're fighting to get the stock to fill Ashley's option that expires this month.
Shorters seems to have woken up judging by the autotrades, as good as it is I expect them to have substantially pushed this back into the trading range below £4 by end of play.
Sellers out or taking a breather to let SP recover, either way looks like a small turning point.
Nearly time for lift off

If it had entirely closed it would have gone to 0.00% it went to 0.48%
Is that there has not been enough printed buys to justify the printed sells, that will be come apparent soon.
She's filling her order, fif people wanna sell so be it.
Jokes aside there's clearly another large sell being cleared, I am starting to see more round buys too though so hopefully a signs an II is buying. Not convinced there's a shorter on reflection, as no autotrades.
Somebody is manipulating this price to make cash out of Ashley's options.
The only true uoward pressure on this SP over the last 6 months has been Ashley buying, without it the shorts would have driven it further down. I think Ashley let it get so far, but wasn't prepared to let it get crucified when he has such a big stake.
As such he set the options at fair value and has basically left it open for manipulation since, occasionally dipping his tow in. The great thing is all the shorted shares have been swallowed up and transferred over to him at a price he is happy with. It wouldn't have been possible for him to manipulate the share priced so well without multiple TR1's etc and that would have looked suss.
The next big option will mature in December and I fully expect that to be supplied in physical shares.
Word on the grapevine is that apparently it's so huge the MM's are struggling to fill it, TR1's written and ready to be logged.
No I think youdon't get it, she hasn't lost anything unless seh sells at this price. The question is what's the best way to get the value of that shareholding.
You're like a broken record, Debbie's buys will be the only thing that shows you the truth.
Lamborghinis en route
Would it be an issue? She made £50m on IPO, and hasn't sold shares before as she clearly doesn't need the cash.
If anything her holding is great for the prospects of a buy out, and if it isn't then it's great because she sees better long term value. TR1's incoming soon
But this is usually when the shorts start selling again, question is can they borrow any more?
My gut is it'll get pushed down again, but I hope I'm proved wrong.
Sell printed at £1.70, be interesting to see if we carry on down or start to move now.
Time will tell
Dude are you sh@gging her? Why are you so obsessed she wouldn't.
She has millions in the bank and I'm viewing this as if I was in her shoes what would I do, and iut's the same thing Tim does over at JD wetherspoons when he doesn't have to.
Take a position to protect and icnrease the value of a large position, she doesn't need to sell out as she made £50m from the IPO. But if she believes in Team 17, and wants to protect that large piece of investment it's the most sensible thing for her to do,
Well the reality is that a lot opf this is because of her, she's still in post and most of this has come udner her tenure. So not convinced her going is the disaster it perhaps was viewed as.
The driver here is somenody seeing the value and taking a position, but yeh seems unlikely now.
This share needs some serious traction/volume to break out of this, it's being controlled by one investor.
Starting to get the feeling somebody's opening a short, time will tell of course.
Hopefully Debbie's buys show up tomorrow
A large buy orcder bing filled at £1.85
A large sell order being executed at £1.80
I would hedge on the latter, if there was a buy order I don't think we would have flatlined as much.
Hopefully Debbie's big 200,000 order at £1.85 will be declared first thing in the AM.
She hasn't lost anything as she hasn't sold, watch this space I bet she does!
Yes unfortunately as with most stocks, sense goes out of the window, and oversold stocks like this get missed whilst others get pumped.
Time will tell, but the way this is going without some kind of impetus we could be flat lining for a while.
Hopefully those Debbie Bestwicks buys will be released in the AM ;)
