Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
For once I’m inclined to go with the thinking of Mystic Reg! Ok, I’m the eternal optimist anyway, but this share has done enough to test the patience of even the most optimistic of us!
The facts, as I see them, are that the diamonds convo has bought the company sufficient time to get the new plan for BP sorted and delivered - bringing some certainty of copper for the foreseeable, something the world is short of right now.
Therefore, with or without the diamonds, the company has sufficient asset strength to get financing underwritten against BP’s future production.
Whilst it means selling the crown jewels to stay afloat, this would be justified given the potential for the diamonds dropping into our laps.
This is a definite buy for me, at these prices.
Of course I may be completely wrong, but then so could all the naysayers and doom mongers!
All in my opinion and I’d urge everyone to make their own mind up based on research and their appetite for risk.
…. ??
The difference is that proceeds from the open offer go to the company, whereas buying shares in circulation already lines others pockets (or bails them out!)
Not offering advice either way. Just that the company is seeking a cash injection to help the recovery, if there is even a plan for that.
2nd jab was May 30th.
I’ve had a box of 25 RTC tests for some months and had people both positive and negative - Pfizer and AZ recipients.
I’m double jabbed AZ and still test negative each time.
I’m sure that c.10% of people vaccinated are not having a response. That’s a lot of people thinking they have ‘protection’..
It may be that the Authorities are a little afraid of the Antibody test. If AZ vaccine is only 60% effective (one dose) and 90% (two doses), then there are a LOT of people running about having had one dose that think they have antibodies, yet they don't. (I'm one of them!)
Even 10% of the total number of people vaccinated is a large number of people.
The figures for 'no antibodies' would probably set the media alight with gossip and rumour and scare stories.
My thinking is that Antigen testing is here for some time yet.

You hate the Govt and you hate Tories, we get hot Regulator.
But stating a blatant lie isn't going to help your cause:

Duc996 - one that I hope to be out of before too long!
It's very likely to take off before Monday, as that's when I get my quarterly bonus and that was going into my ISA with ODX written all over it! Timing never works for me, so expect news before Monday!!
Good luck ps. Many have a taken a large hit, mine is a little more meagre but none the less it’s a sum that hits my overall portfolio. COVID stocks helping me to recoup a little.
The only AGM I attended was the London Bridge one and I voted against the remuneration package (I was also on the front row) ;-)
As far as I see, it's either Amanda or a hotel?
Not sure either of those are manufacturing anything!
Abingdon on the other hand..... (seems a lot of people here use the 't' in place of the 'd')
ODX will be manufacturing and supplying a range of LFTs for many years to come. What they are and who they are sold to isn't a concern for me right now. The company has grown incredibly quickly in the last 12 months and I hold for however long it takes for it to bear fruit and for the spoils to be shared.
"Regu;ator" - As seems to be increasing more frequent recently, I'm finding myself in disagreement with you. (not to mention the condescending tone you are now adopting)..
I once enjoyed your posts, but you have become political and sniping, in addition to condescending.
The points I disagree with:
1) Someone is attending a vaccine centre and it would not cost significantly more to set up a pre-vaccine AB test and then only vaccinate those with no antibodies. (not withstanding the point that I mentioned and you so carefully trashed as though I hadn't - the need for AB tests to perhaps demonstrate a quantity rather than a simple 'yes'/'no'.)
If we have, indeed, 'covered it off many times', then I'm sorry that I'm spending all my time on a share site BB keeping up with all the information/instruction such learned people proffer.
My point was not about the 'clinical risk' of vaccinating someone with antibodies, however now that you've raised it I'd love to see the peer reviewed data on where that has been assessed and considered (regulated)?
Surely for the cost of the Antibody test, people waiting for the vaccine could be tested first, then vaccinated if no antibodies? (or is there something about the level of antibodies that the rapid test can't/won't measure?)
Then, when people come for a 'booster' jab, they could be tested again to check response and build a picture of the vaccine's effectiveness...
Happy to be corrected, but for such a relatively cheap test not to be used, there must be a reason I'm not seeing/understanding
Great piece. What a shame someone couldn't proof read it and use "ensure" rather than "insure" in that last line!
ODX is continuing to be in a central role in fighting back against this virus, along with it's USPs in HIV and food intolerance testing.
As a test manufacturer with the expertise to flex capacities to match the daily/weekly/monthly needs, we are in a very fortunate position.

RegulatorUK. You’re being a little disingenuous here.
Number (2) No country can do that, apart from perhaps China. ‘Trace every contact’ - nope
Numbers (3), (4) and (5) - these are being done. To what degree are these measures successful, that may be in question. But, they are in place.
Number (6) - never going to happen in the U.K. and probably many other countries. Too many people know better and are more the expert ...
...to all the 'govt is useless' people.... maybe they are following the route necessary to ensure they don't announce something that ends up not quite matching the requirement.... as they have before when pressed by the same people about 'not doing enough testing', back in April..... and Roche came along...
Jeez, drop the political diatribe and recognise that EVERYONE is learning about this as we go. Govt included.
All you who think you know better and can do a better job - step forward for election and give it a go for yourselves!
The signs are positive. The user study for self-test has been completed - maybe it showed up some attributes that needed modification to make the test 'stupid proof' (for people with no common sense or who have confirmation bias against the Govt and want to call them ditherers over and over again.) **rolly eye smiley**
JAdam - so much if that is not fact. Sorry.
You don't like Tories. You don't like Boris.
You're spreading your anti-govt mantra.
Filtered
jeez - give it a rest everyone!
ODX have a fantastic mix of product lines and I'm sure they are working as hard as they can to move each of them forward as quickly as possible. Have any of you ever taken a medical product through testing and approvals or sold to any Government around the world?
The UK govt also isn't sitting back and delaying things! Just because you don't like the 'colour' of the Govt or the personalities within (or both), it doesn't make it any more factual when you constantly repeat your anti-govt mantra.
We are living in unprecedented times. Everyone is learning as we go along.
If you're on the stock market and looking to make money, then you are feeding the capitalist herd and you should at least be pleased that we don't have an anti-capitalist govt.
For the rest of us, we come here to see what snippets of factual information are being shared, not to witness daily playground antics of people who are fed up because their investment hasn't yet tripled in value.
Back to lurking..... T
But Mirasol, ,it's not about how long HH would 'last' them (BP), it's about the relative cheapness of producing said oil and using it within the sovereign country - small production costs, small logistical costs... one day a *bigger* player will want some of that. (not saying it would be BP, but the comparison you use of their worldwide production isn't valid, in my opinion)
