The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
@JHolder - agree that makes sense based upon recent movements and should defo be North of 2p post funding resolved.
@Mark1973 - No I'm not confusing optimism with ramping, why would the share price double in 3 days ?! That may have been your target in November, but no reason for this to double in 3 days without news on funding ?!
Had dropped from 1.7p to 1.2p before the cyber attack ! Hence why it won't reach 2.5p by the weekend, that is ramping talk without logic or substance !
No chance of 2.5p by the weekend lol
@Iglu "The redundancies in a way created company recapitalization extending from March until the end of April" - You must have a totally different investment dictionary to mine and everyone else's lol ! You seem very certain that losses will be covered by insurance, yet if you have ever read such a policy document you would know that there are lots of caveats and loopholes, so no-one can be certain whether they will be covered or not, based upon publicly available information, unless you have inside information ? Yes they are in a closed period but they could have bought share any time in the last 3 years lol It seems to me people here are clutching at straws and looking for positives that don't exist. This company has upside potential and value - but whether shareholders get to participate in that potential and value remains to be seen. GLA
If this share was a Dog - which it is lol - I would have put it down around 15:00 today lol - funny that it’s a business that saves lives !
Thanks to Woodie for his efforts. With 12 weeks cash left, I am worried about the cyber incident and the fact that USA production is down and that 6 days after the cyber incident it sounds like it might be several more days or longer before they issue an update. Makes it difficult to raise cash from lenders and strategic partners if your production is down and a week on you haven't clarified the cyber incident - this obviously is a serious and deep rooted cyber incident, given the time they are taking to get systems back on and re-start production. I see value and want to invest, but won't do so until the high risk (as I perceive it) reduces - if that means I miss out on the first upswing after a positive RNS, I am relaxed as I see this as a long term play to between 5 and 10p, assuming no disasters - gla
@ Bonum - indeed good luck in any case and I hope I'm proved wrong lol ! Let's review on 02/03
I would think there will be a RNS tomorrow, but not sure it will be good news and if there is no RNS would be even more concerned. Will look to buy in if no major damage from the cyber incident and if production has started back up, but this
just does not feel right to me. Good luck to all and especially Woodie on his big birthday - many happy returns Woodie
No BPC Director buys for 2.5 years whereas the TXP Directors buy shares very month - easy decision for me !
No reason for an RNS just because it's 09:00 in Texas lol - there may be one late this afternoon if they have made progress but more likely Monday morning, or also likely not one on Monday morning, if they are still off-line and have no idea when they will be back online. The longer it goes without an RNS to say everything is back on line, production has re-started and an insurance claim is being prepared, the worse it looks - imho
LOL - I think it was a 50/50 - It seemed good and then started to climb, no idea why it fell back, hopefully bouncing now - good luck
LOL - I was right - just bought back in at 1248 !
@Tinatots - you might be right with that lol - maybe not my best move lol
That happens all the time and means nothing - I can buy 1m shares in TRX on Interactive Investor this morning without referral so there is volume there
Topped up this morning at 25.8p for another £8k taking advantage of the drop and on the basis next week might be news week - gla
Sold out on the rise this morning at 1321p as expect we will go back to 1250p shortly and will then buy back on - gla
@smokingjoe - thanks for your views - I absolutely see value in TRX and am not waiting for a lower entry price, would be happier to buy in at a higher price but with less risk as there would still be much upside but without as much risk to capital in the event things turn bad. I am really surprised that there is no RNS, as would expect them to be able to assess the position now with regards to restarting production and a potential insurance claim. Mayve the RNS will come on Monday but for the meantime I'll wait for more certainty rather than a lower entry price
So no RNS this morning so production in USA still down and probably a full week lost. Also suggests cyber incident towards the severe end. No TR1 so Link feels like they can't sell their 234m shares. With no production cash will be draining fast. If you think Midcap are going to write a cheque and take a punt then happy days and enjoy the profits, if you are more sceptical then today might be a good time to exit. This really is a coin flip toss imho - gla
@ Parkez - I am not aware of any exceptions - if you are I would be keen to learn as that would be another AIM travesty which would be worth knowing for the future. t also depends on what they meant by the definition of illiquid - I believed Bill Clinton when he said he did not have sexual relations with Monica Lewinksy, then it transpired he was using the very narrow Arkansas legal definition which was plain bonkers to folk with common sense. Illiquid might mean to them "can't sell the 234m at a reasonable price". I guess we will find out at some point. If a RNS is not issued by Friday 31/01 saying production has been resumed I would be seriously worried.
@Parkez - I am saying that Link have not sold any material volume of their TRX shares as of last week as no TR1 issued - I will be happy to report them if they have sold and failed to issue a TR1 - If they had 234m shares, the 8m shares is of no consequence. If they haven't sold it could be because they can't find enough buyers for the 234m of they might see no value selling at 1-1.5p and might be holding on in the hope of a higher price later - which is a risky game given the reduction in value since Woodford invested. Either way we can assume they haven't sold any material volume - unless you believe they have failed to file, but there is no reason for them not to file. People who say that Link have sold a large part of their 234m shares are either dreaming or believe they have sold but have not issued a TR1 - neither of which is logical !
