Went into the coffee shop in Truro Marks last week for a lunch ,the food was good but some of the seating was looking worn and torn.

The large Debenhams at Westwood cross has been closed for some time now it was only about 100 yards from Marks and Spencer,since that time I have noticed that Marks has had a bigger footfall of potential customers .

Any business that handles perishable goods has waste ,this can if not monitored and managed correctly effect a companies profits, yet this subject is rarely raised when looking at a companies results.

So called high interest rates are blamed for the slowing of house sales and demand ,but I can remember these rates being the norm in 1970 ,these were the rates the older generation had to pay to get onto the housing market .I do not think low rates will return anytime soon.Once people realise this the housing market will pick up .
