We need some good news as the SP just seems to be falling on a daily basis. Have noticed most Authorised Dealers now have Rolex's for sale in their windows and less 'exhibition only' signs which is great for business...I reckon Q2 figures will be over target, but the problem will be if a cautious forecast is then given for the rest of their financial year.
I think this could be very interesting for LT share holders like me...Moving into the 2nd-hand market makes great business sense to me. They will have tens of thousand past customer details to market, basically ''Part-Ex your old Rolex / AP we will give you at least what you paid for it or more'' and then ''up-sale'' to a new model or at least move them to the top of the waiting list for a new and more expensive model to get the deal over the line. Then the Part-Ex gets refurbished and sold on for a healthy profit and then WOSG make decent profit & bonuses on the new watch sold. I may just be tempted to do the transaction myself....
Fingers crossed the results are good tomorrow but off 2% already today and showing more buys than sells? You never know, by this time tomorrow they may have started a dividend programme and/or a share buy-back process.. Good luck all if you are a long term holder.
Looks as if the next quarterly trading update is on the 17th May so not long to wait now. Hope its positive as many of the European luxury brands have posted very profitable updates over the past couple of days..
I'm still topping up on the dips.. More accumulated this afternoon...There will probably be more dips than rises over the coming weeks and months but I now have 101,000 shares accumulated over 9+ years....I'll sell them all one day...Needless to say, I'm finding life is always a bit stressful holding Barc shares....like many long term holders....
I for one certainly didn't see a 50p drop per share coming and all within a month.
Having been a long term holder here for years, all I know is that it won't be back at £1.90 levels anytime soon.
My best guess is that what we have seen wiped off in a month, will take at least 18 months to get back. I'm just hoping Barc don't cancel the 5p dividend on the 31st March... Based on current events, a great deal can certainly happen in the next 16 days... GLA, I'll be staying in for a lot longer than planned now..
