Kevin on the basis that the exceptionals are cleared and they guided FCF of 20-40 m this year and have a very interesting potential pipeline of work then this business is clearly turning around. That’s my view. Timing is everything though and it’s whether investors have the stomach to wait a little longer as many have been here for a long time . I do have that stomach .

“The simplest way is to think about DCC as an ordinary contract. Per page 222 of the 2024 Annual Report we disclose that we received revenue of £112m in 2024. We do not disclose the profit – it is commercially sensitive and we do not disclose profits on any individual contract. Clearly if the costs incurred are disallowed it has an impact on profitability, hence why we are pleased the final disallowance was c£11m not £31m. Notwithstanding that, in our 2025 results we had to estimate what costs would be disallowed and per this morning’s announcements, the c£11m is broadly in line with that estimate.

The fact we own the DCC business but don’t have management control is why that business is not consolidated. Our transactions with it are.”

I agree - investors should always be aware of this risk for any company . Margin has increased in public and pensions so the AI can deliver contracts with lower revenue figures

Woolitch do you know whether this brings their enquiry to an end ? Also why are Capita pleased about the reduction if it has nothing to do with their consolidated accounts. Surely the 20 m is a reduction of an expected liability for the group -I.e they have to pay 20 m less that they thought? Please could a reasonable poster opine on this as I don’t trust the likes of aim , savage etc

Jordi sounds like you want to sell and move on, however I have emailed IR to understand why we have swung to a loss and why debt is up. I suspect that it’s because the cost of the cuts was high, because of the investment into AI and because of the 14 m fine payment . None of those costs will be there this year as all that investment has been made.

Contact centre will be dealt with this year.
