I managed to get some borrow to short AVCT on IG a while ago (at 117p) but haven’t been able to for ages.
Better trading play is to wait for placing announcement and then buy in once the hype cycle starts up again. 70p to £1 should be doable
Even says it himself that cash runway is almost up:

As I’ve said many times (and I really don’t know why people keep ignoring the basic financial facts), the company is very nearly out of cash. The audit will be ongoing and flagging a material uncertainty in the accounts.
If you don’t think there is a placing coming imminently, you are deluding yourself. Look at the accounts. A significant placing will be good for the company. But you’ll be able to buy in a good 10-15% lower than current SP.
So it’s pretty clear from the price action that a placing has been agreed and leaked. I suspect the price was agreed a few weeks ago, so taking a standard AIM 25% discount price from say £1, I think AVCT is looking at 75p. The question is how much will it raise - any less than funding phase 2 will be a shame. For the company, you really have to hope it’s a good institution or two that is being onboarded.
Obviously a challenging market but looking at the big picture, management have managed to turn around years of heavy loss making. Balance sheet is strong. This is already at bargain basement valuation and is an easy hold for the ongoing recovery. Technical uptrend too. Trendz
Looks like the updated broker valuation is 12p. Looking at other similar debt free companies, we must be on a forward p/e of at least 10, which would mean at least 10p. A very easy buy and hold IMO
I'm waiting for the pre-close update in March before I make any decisions. The debt level will be key...
Right - Stockopedia is showing the new forecasts! Obviously the broker note is not made available to us plebs until after the big boys have it... We are looking at EPS of 0.87 for FY24 and 1.08 for 25. This means EAAS trades on a forward p/e of 7.27. Plus cash, plus growth. Insane valuation
I think there must be something bad coming out in the accounts. A big receivables write off? Something isn’t right when you look at the financials and market cap
Morning, gents. Are we not supposed to have had revised forecasts / a management presentation following completion of the sale?!
Quite comical really. ANX is number 1 on the bargain shares list and is down. All 7 others are up 10-20%
Boom. Fireworks time
Woosh - ranked the 6th best value stock in the U.K.! Could see absolute fireworks here over the next few weeks. 100% upside is doable IMO
Anexo is ranked his number 1 bargain share of all U.K. listed entities!
Presume we can expect revised forecasts early next week. Current market cap is baffling
