RE: News of Predict-ONC1 Dec 2025 13:34
I have been looking back at the progress made by PYC in the first six months of the year (see linkedIn post of 9th July) and included a few extracts :-
We kicked off the year with a series of publications that showcase our commitment to advancing drug development through Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD). These publications, each written with esteemed partners (1) Astellas Pharma , (2) Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany , and (3) Ankyra Therapeutics , explore how modelling and simulation techniques can be used to better understand your drug’s behaviour and enable model informed,
de-risked decision-making in early drug development
We released two blog posts in collaboration with Weatherden, unpicking some of the details from the FDA ’s updated guidance on dose optimisation for oncology drugs. These articles are crucial as the industry adapts to new standards in drug development, considering both Project Optimus requirements and how MIDD can guide smarter decision-making in translational and clinical development strategies
Beyond the award of two new contracts in the biometrics space, we were are also very pleased to have announced several exciting projects in the Modelling and Simulation service area, including :-
1) Multiple projects with an existing large pharma partner, utilising our Virtual Tumour platform to model targeted oncology agents in monotherapy and combinations in a range of oncology indications
2) Multiple projects with existing client Numab Therapeutics AG across their pipeline of next-generation immunology and immuno-oncology drugs
3) Three new UK-based clients, collaborating on projects to : Inform the design of a Phase 2 study for a small molecule designed to treat rheumatoid arthritis ; Predict the human PK of a first-in-class bifunctional antibody therapy designed to target multiple solid tumour indications to support progression into a First-in-Human study ; Inform optimal dosing for an upcoming First-in-Human trial of an Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC)
The news flow in the second half of the year has been disappointing to date. However, I would hope that the momentum generated in the first half is continuing and look forward to a news-rich period in the run up to the year-end, allowing PS to provide a similarly upbeat review for the second half around the year-end
