Beware. With Interactive Investors two ways to Bed & Isa. You pay £49 for them to sell and buy back there and then or fill in the online form and wait 2-5 days for the transfer. They settle T+2 in both cases.

This means that they are doing something behind the scenes that causes your newly created Isa account to show a debit until trade transfer settled. Therefore any new trade done within the new ISA after the bed & ISA will go into the debit showing on your Isa and you wont be able to trade. Google have 10 ideas of how to reduce your tax bill.

With ii you can bed the isa 2 ways. Either (i) fill the form in and wait up to 3-5 days for the dealer to sell and buy back shares or (ii) pay about £50 for them to do it there and then.
