(Edwina) 6 figures is £100,000 not £1 million, I meant last year Cnel was my best trading stock, in 30 minutes once it went from 1.05p offer to 1.75p bid and I had bought 2 million shares under 1.1p, the potential for huge quick profits is always there with Cnel with several smaller trading opps. This year it's not been the same, today was more getting out of a hole than making a killing. I do not know why people get so shirty about truths, this is two days running I have warned people about chasing spikes only to get abuse and have posts removed but each time I nailed it. Things have changed now with Aim stocks and spikes, not only do you need to research the company but you have to research the threads on here and advfn and twitter and see who is pushing, if there is a string of the "usual suspects" on these 3 sites that are well known for pump and dumps and holding stocks less than 2 hours max then you have to get out fast because they will do the same and their followers will too and unfortunately that happened this morning here in CNEL.
Spot on with your thoughts evil plum. Still think the market and punters have not discovered the value here, next step is to wait until results in 4 weeks approx and that might wake up the shares.
7,500 at 18.11p, to be honest I was just hoping it would keep drifting so I can pick up 5-10k each 1-2p drop but looks like the bounce is on today so might get 3p+ out of this if they do their usual thing.
Problem is Amp's stake in Mtfb has to be worth significantly higher to cover the liabilities of the company unless one of their other investments suddenly springs to life or is floated which would help if they could reduce them without selling down the MTFB stake. That is why the price is so low atm.
Added 15k yesterday, to me this looks a real bargain so buying as it drifts down as those that got involved on the last news now sell for a loss which is always the way, impatience nothing else. A 51% stake in a business paying out £4 mil of dividends has to be worth more than the market cap of Tech alone never mind their own business and all the cash they have. But Aim is momentum so it will go weeks of being quiet and then bang they issue their results before end of April and I expect there will be a rush to buy and the mm's will not let them get any size so I'm picking them up while I cn and while they are cheap. If a few more give up might even get some sub 9p
I'm sure 75% of punters atm just log in and look at the % leaders board and decide to play whatever is up the most without doing any reseach. Sometimes they get lucky and a price gets going but other times they get butchered and sell for a whopping loss. Clearly short term 26p today was crazy. If anybody had bother to spend 5 minutes and see their high cash burn leaving less than a years cash. I'm not sure if this potential deal if signed means another initial cash outlay for working capital but for me the risk of a funding when it was soaring in the 20's far outweigh the positives at that level. No wonder it closed back at 14p bid.
Bracknor got their claws into VAL around 9-10p and they forced the price down to sub 6p, Val got shot of them in the end but did not get the funds they needed in total, their latest placing was at 2.5p and they are 2.25p bid now

As soon as you see the word Bracknor in a rns in your stock sell ASAP. They are a parasite that destroys value with a 100% track record for collapsing share prices. I warned the thread the moment the news came out when it was 62p bid and have just noticed they have already destroyed half the value of the company !
So long as they do not do a placing, it's very suspicious this rns that does not actually confirm a deal but gets the desired effect of a huge rise. Their cash burn is very high and leaves them less than 9 months cash so I bet these sneaky buggers do a funding on this....dyor etc etc
Got to be 10/20% in this when it rebounds, looks oversold and always worth buying when having a bad run when it turns it can add 3-4p very quickly. All those 47.99p were buys yesterday and somebody bought 50k at 48.5p when it was 48p offer so there cannot be masses of stock around if they are charging premiums for 50k
ps like this bit "Given this is AIM, and companies regularly dilute their shareholders and achieve nothing, I'm more than happy with this sort of dilution, because receiving $2.5M, (£2M sterling), in cash for 3.8M shares is the equivalent to a placing at a sp of 66p" ps...what kind of value do you give a business that delivers dividends of £4 million in a year, that has to be worth a tidy sum for a company that owns 51% and is only worth £6-7 mil ? Also the 50k buy took out all the size. It was N/T at the close to buy so it's clearly illiquid both ways demonstrated by the stupid person who first paid a premium for 18791 and paid 11.19p when 11p offer then later when 9p bid sold them back to the mm for 8.6p what a genius trader, not often you see the same trade pay a premium then sell for a discount, you often see people buy high then sell low within a hour or so but never like that :-))
A most excellent read EvilPlum and it gives me a better understanding of the business. I managed a small amount on that dip recently to 7.5p offer and had a top up today.
Sellers have bailed out the mm's but the numbers do not lie so if this dips much more it will be worth a stab. Only on aim can one person pay 11.89p and somebody else sell at 9.66p within a hour...crazy
If you look at the interim results they had $3.9 mil of cash, they then receive $1 mil from interim dividend for their 51% stake in Dragon, then today they announce another $1.5 mil dividend from Dragon, these are crazy numbers for a company with a cap so small, their stake in DragonFinancials must be worth 2/3 times the cap of Tech alone, how much do you value a company that pays out $5 mil in dividends a year
Just shows how things can change, there was 7.5p available now so long ago for size, now on that excellent news the mm's open it up and as normal make it almost impossible to buy until they have hiked up the price
Buys and the small pi's sell, it's not random, there has been large buying all week and the selling has been much smaller, I guess when it gets above 10p whenever that maybe the small pi herd will play this and it will go nuts. Happy to be holding from 6.5p with various top ups all the way up.
It went crazy from 6p to around 17-18p intraday in no time. There is excellent research on advfn and some hefty numbers being touted which is starting to reflect in the quick recovery in the price. 10p is first target and if it breaks that next week it could just keep going
"Government in consultation on funding for supported housing which is expected to be positively resolved in 2017 but does challenge timing of scheme delivery" This snippet is key and when announced will send the shares into a positive frenzy, just a case of patience because it should happen.
Bracknor have destroyed the share price of every other stock I've seen them in VAL for example so I'm out of this now
