Me again. There is apathy amongst the front-line troops. They are working for DSGI because there are no other jobs. The bonus is rubbish, the share save looks great and then looks crap. They will move out as the economy recovers and DSGI are left floundering in the mud with all of their best people working for the competition. I find it unbelievable that JB picks up a huge bonus and I know staff that are in danger of losing their house. He will walk away from the car crash a wealthy man. Many will not.

How did you accept the redundancy when voluntary was not on the table?
Hi I am out of DSGI because of redundancy. A master stroke to divest the company of good managers they will need if the tesco transformation succeeds. Most stores are not suffering from the payroll cutbacks because a member of the management team has been offloaded - oh that was me. Remove this from the payroll numbers and there are £s available to recruit. I am glad I am out and produced an oscar winning performance at my interview to ensure this happened. However, the management teams left in the stores who have had a DM removed are now running with "Experts" as managers to cover days off. These are senior sales people who are usually the number one and two performers in store, they will rarely be management material, and can often be found doing what they do best, selling. Genius plan. There is no management in most stores on any given night of the week. This will increase the blue huddle syndrome that plagues DSGI ( purple if PCW ), because these guys get jack **** extra to do this job and just go selling leaving the others to chat about whatever. Customers served very few. I am not bitter about DSGI but I feel for the many many good people that work for them. Many put in massive effort and good managers work at least 45 hours a week for 39 hours pay. The heat on the street is not good and I foresee people flocking to Best Buy as they expand. On the disciplinary front the company works on the consequence model - No performance consequence no job. This will allow them to adhere to there no job loss statement to the press as there will not be redundancies just brutal performance management to reduce the numbers. Hope this helps

You work it out like this. 08 Oct plus 90 is 98 Oct. Subtract 31 fo make it Novembe = 67 November. Then subtract 30 days to make it December = 37 december. Then subtract 31 days to make it January = 06 January. simples
