Nice to be noticed Skinnarney and yes we are both now mostly OK except for touch Sciatica which is only slowly departing - thankfully it is an ailment from which I will recover and very glad that it came on its own!!!
Really do not know what to make of our little outfit - they are closing branches and retreating from the people they depend on - no doubt all mortgage applications are conducted On-Line by an algorythm and a credit score - ridiculous.
No wonder so many people up here swear by their Credit Union - they provide employment and contribute to the economy at the same time.
I forecast that their Ivory Towers are not going to be so comfortable in a few years time, when these changes have worked through the system, but I bet that the Credit Unions will be doing well because they still provide a service.
Why are the banks so short sighted - do they really think that people have no alternative and so must put up with them.
Good luck all....
5 Euros - the more things change - the more they stay the same......
Yours disappointed BUT DOUBLE JABBED AND BOOSTED plus Flu vaccine which gave the Colleen and I a cold that we could not move for three weeks - got shot of it now..TG
Good luck all
Posted that he detected a note of regret resulting from my move to BT33 - not at all - my share is off the floor, Covid is slackening its grip - I am now playing one of the best courses in the world and managing to get round quite well in what has been glorious weather.
My daughter has just bought herself a six bedroom house for a lot of money and the Colleen and I are both vaccinated and have proven antibodies for which Oxford have paid us £400 each in vouchers for regular tests and blood samples.
The political landscape here is changing because it has finally dawned on the "awkward squad" how dependent they are on outside forces for investment and that nobody wants to buy bonfire sites or employ people who have only one quality - belligerence in all situations.
Looking across the water sees useless because those "Oven Ready" items that mop head talked about seem now to be coming home to roost. Much like the DUP who must face the electorate in May when I predict that there nose will be put well out of joint.
Good luck all - and nice to see El-Gelboy on here - keep up with the good red stuff daily,it's good for you..
Take my eye off the ball more often - well of the floor now - which is something of a surprise to me.
Can't help but notice that the level of debate is still pretty much where I left it the last time - more like the DUP than the BOI.
Well done Fontenoy at last you see daylight for your LONG TERM interest free loan.
Filed my last dividend cheque - now I cant find it - bit like the share easy come easy go..
Thank god I'm still hitting the ball well....
Good luck all.
Have for the first applied the filter to "Crazyhorse" to save so much scrolling on this yoke.
Banks .look set for a good harvest once all the payouts are converted to loans.
Bet you all thought it was free money - well plank anyway...
Nice to see thzt the rise has xtarted that we hav all waited years for - lets hope it lasts - but "old radar" knows a thing or two...
Good luck all
We were always talking here - BUT most of us waited until we had something sensible to say...
Life begins again next week - first tee on Tuesday - yippee - if that also happens to bolster the economy and in turn the 26 counties so much the better.
Good luck al.l
I may just put Mulligans into the Sat Nav and have a pint for Radar now that it is confirmed that the vaccine has caused the creation of anti bodies - which stop you getting drunk radar.
They do not however do anything for my swing - weather up here is terrible - wi ds gusti g to about 60....
Glad to see our share levitating and greetings to my friend in Gorey..
Good luck all..
Good to know that there are still a few of us left - under " the radar" so to speak. Things up here are becoming quite interesting as some of our "friends" up here adjust to what is rapidly becoming the new reality as it dawns on them that their traditional default position will butter ther parsnips for much longer - must have a look at Musgraves shares to which our share wshould also benefit on e the dust settles.Going to be a bit bumpy though as the marching season noisily stirs things amongst the pork like intellects.
Good luck all and keep up the faith ...
Vvisitimg this site is rather like d-riving past an advertising hoardimg - same add is visible - all the time.
While I'm here greetimgs to all who zI zI am sure look i am sure still look in and wonder like me - is there any ody there besides the speaking clock...
Also greetings to my friends in Kerry and Wexford - getting exciting up here with the sea ports - just so long as I can find my way over the border...
GOOD .UCK ALL..
Just looking in to see how many horses are still running - and there we are - not enough for decent race so off to bed.
Our tiler up here starts at 8am EVERY MORNING.....thank god he is finished on friday- we've had two bathrooms out of commission since last thursday.
Whe do they issue the divi cheques ??
Well there you are then - as they say in Tipperary - you are gone from us Mr Mac, but not without telling us that you contributions will appear less often from now, if at all.
I have always valued you view and sentiments expressed but fully understand that your investments are made seriously and after careful research, some of which you have shared with us in the past.
If only I had the patience to devote time to researching the opportunities that exist in the "small" shares market, I am sure that I could make some money which would be fun provided greed did not enter into me investments - as it most probably would. Good job that when I put money into this share it was not needed for a deposit on a property, but we should ALL have jumped when the bank was valued at 12 Billion and Wilber Ross jumped.
Doesn't seem to have done so well since though...
My interest here since returning "HOME" (well to the 6 counties) has been the completion of our new property, the development of the gardens and of course my golf, much curtailed this year by both the weather and this wretched Covid. Now that we have almost got the house the way that we want it - we will travel in the Spring, first to see my new granddaughter and then to visit all the cousins all over the country.
I hope that 2021 is a successful year for you, it is surely deserved after all our adventures with this share, which I fear had the anchor attached by Michael Noonan when he was Minister of Finance where he performed about as effectually as he did when he was Minister of Health.
Good luck my boy and success in the future.....
