FH how many of these do you hold to go grey. Nanoco was going down at the same rate as Samsung in February until we passed 23.9p a few days ago. It is amongst the most oversold in its history going back to 2013. It was more oversold on 21 June 2019 when priced collapsed by 2/3rds in a short space of time and the last time it was more oversold then now was around 21 October 2020. My guess is that we have a distressed seller needing cash and it it is not about Nanoco that is now well below its income settlement from Samsung.

I presume the pullback coincides with a low in nickel and the general destocking in a lot of places.

The next update which is due shortly is an update on resources at Phalaborwa. I am not sure if they will be able to declare any rare earth reserves or it continues to updates on measured and indicated resources as implied in the 24 October RNS.

News on permitting is also very important and removes a significant company risk. The CEO should update shareholders on this issue in the coming weeks and guide us as to whether the company has made all its submissions and what may be the response time from the South Africa Government.

By the way 5 weeks before the National Grid Rights Issue of May 2010 the CEO and CFO in National newspapers interviews absolutely said with 100% certainty there was not going to be a rights issue. The legal costs would have gone into the stratosphere and the ultimate damages claim after all the time and costs may have had the same net value. Samsung were in on the call and his words were probably directed at them in getting whatever settlement that could be got.

Those comments were mainly for Samsung not for PIs. We know that now for sure. It is our fault not copying LOAM after 9 January and underestimating legal costs which incidentally we could not possibly know. Tony

You said you sold loads of shares. I speculated that you want the share down cheap as chips (forgive the pun) to buy them back again under Bed and Breakfast 30 days rules. This is shorting your own shares. I sometimes do it in some of the positions I hold. It is not a sin and I call it managing one's portfolio. If it is not to late you may want to buy them back Henry and enjoy the ride back up before LOAM and others have your lunch. Tony

I think you mean Quantum Science Ltd not Quantum materials in your point 4.. I looked at the accounts submitted at company's house filed autumn last year. Cash burn in the last 12 months was around £800,000. QS has around £1.5M at best in assets. QS would need a huge bank loan to be in the same place as Nanoco. I wonder if they are talking to each other. They could both de-risk hugely if something constructive took place.

The company will need to explain how the copper and gold output arrangements work with Azeri Government. In the past 1/6th of copper out was shared 50/50 with the government. It may have to swap around from copper to gold being shared. The second point is that copper mines do not have tailing dams expense like gold mines if the sand generated can be used to make cement.
