Some tin research and andrada prod questions16 Jun 2023 10:27
Been looking into tin and tin production and might as well share my thoughts for the whole board as the tin price is almost 29k / tonne
i do have 1 question at the end from the proactive 2023 production targets
anyway, i'll just add my research and can be corrected as i know lots about other commods but not really tin
- tin is found in either alluvial riverbeds, as in SE Asia and can be open pit extracted and dredged as well
- also found as veins as granite bearing rocks (as in UK) but far more expensive
- companies produce concentrate which is 70% of the pure future which is sold at roughly 99% purity
- so companies like us report concentrate prod numbers and 70% of this becomes sellable contained metal
- i do have a question and cant really google it, the difference between AISC (know that) and AISC on a cash basis, which seems higher ?
anyway, for production numbers 2023:
metal produced between 980t and 1050t ?? this is the pure mktstuff
i'l go with for now that AISC on a cash basis includes transport and royalties etc, whereas pure AISC is just full mine operating costs ?
