I'm just wondering if the reason the US has been sluggish of late is to do with the Trump's tax and spending bill but this has now been passed advised as a mega bill , we could see that rise after this not sure this will make much difference but seems positive for the markets.

Homer - I couldn't agree more, we loved P&O but things have changed we would still go on one but we prefer Cunard . I did look at a silver seas British isles for September but still thinking about that one as never been with them.

We are away on QV end of June around the med got a fantastic OBC , but the prices have gone up for the QG.

Sund - I think we will before results are out for Q2

I'm quite happy with the rise this week and I have no knowledge of anything that's forth coming but I feel we are in for a good rise by the end of this month I'm expecting 18s plus it does feel like it wants to blow again. Fundamentals seem to be in place and if trump presses the right buttons In regards to the cruise sector and carnival are mainly American and he is wanting to make America rich again we really could be in for a good rise even without Q2 results.

Just my thoughts after a hard busy week.

Hi bhants - This should recover ok into Q2 , without getting into the what is and what's not subject to tariffs i assume the numbers will be good again etc

Hence why I said long term !!

In comparison these tariffs will not effect the cruise numbers at all in fact people will be booking more given the price of hotels car hire etc especially in the med.

The drop is way over done no reason apart from jitters from the markets, the tariffs will have no effect on CCL in the long term if anything will make the company stronger being in the USA , this will come back stronger than ever in my opinion by mid to late Q2.

Young - Unfortunately we will never no the back ground to why the salaries are this high for some we do need to be careful what we read but at first sight its comparable with the MPs vs the people of this country. I suppose if the SP was running at all time highs we wouldn't mind so much ? - Good find though

Just got back from QV today , ship full bars full people spending no problem its not the revenue I think its Trump bless him so much uncertainty and the US jitters , talking to a lot of Americans they all voted for him but they are very unsure of the future under Trump !

Pre market stable enough but who knows when they open around 1.30 our time !
