Very sensible mjallen most people just look at the bottom line, the price, few bother to check out the policy for level / quality of cover. They then brag about how much they saved until they have to make a claim and find this wonderful cheap policy is a load of crap. You get what you pay for always have and always will.

You are right subsidence claims can take years to settle and often the insurer can make a claim against another party the next door neighbour with the enormous tree in the garden or the local Council for the street tree outside the house that could not afford to prune for years.

Once debt is paid down to a level as agreed with the lenders then a small dividend should be paid. If it is especially with the prospect of more to come then the share price should rise further. Some information from the company as to how much debt has been paid and how much there is to go would be helpful.

Perhaps a vote of no confidence in the Board at the AGM then? Something has got to give, or go, to resolve this wretched dispute perhaps it should be the board who in turn get shot of the CEO.

No idea what the exact figure is hopefully that will be released in the forthcoming trading statement.

A dividend cannot be paid until debt is below a certain level as per the agreement with the lenders. Once debt is below this level even a small dividend should do wonders for the share price.

Certainly looks like the market is expecting a very positive trading statement. If it exceeds market expectations then the share price will hopefully rise further with the spring / summer card buying events Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Easter and Fathers Day still to come.

I would certainly take a 5p dividend. Once the debt is paid down then happy days.

Card is one of the few retailers, probably one of the only ones to always have a line of people waiting to pay at the tills. Even if the average profit per customer transaction is less than one pound this company will pay off the loans on time if not before and then it is time for a good dividend to us poor shareholders.

Let's be honest not a lot on the celebration front for the next few months. A few Thank You Teacher Cards and Halloween then its the big one Christmas. So the Russian oil tap is turned off. What is the betting that western governments are not asking OPEC to turn up their tap and produce more oil in the short to medium term until this current nonsense is sorted out and that way the price will fall so even if in a few months time we start buying Russian oil again they will not get so much for it and will have to produce more but if no one wants it they are still stuffed.
