Suspect more volatility in the main markets over the coming days. US markets somehow finished in the blue after being hammered earlier on Monday. Dow was 1,100 points down but finished 99 points up.

Why? It's called the US Federal Reserve. Markets are expected to remain on edge as the Fed meets this week.

The Federal Reserve’s meeting Tuesday and Wednesday is the big event for markets in the week ahead, with investors hoping for more guidance on the central bank’s plan to raise interest rates.

Earnings season is in full swing with about half the Dow 30 stocks reporting, and reports expected from the biggest market-cap stocks, Apple and Microsoft.

There is some important economic data in the week ahead, including fourth-quarter GDP and the personal consumption expenditure inflation data.

So why is the S&P 500 at it’s lowest level since the start of the pandemic? Tech’s have been hammered recently but they’re not the only ones.

Don’t think the markets will ‘just forget’ Russia/Ukraine current issues.

Let’s hope another couple of billion dollars are added to that total....

I wouldn't say I'm negative, I neither ramp nor de-ramp EUA, I'm just being a realist which unnerves many people on here.

Admittedly most of the people I've binned are de-rampers, but there are a few rampers, particularly after last weekend.

Wrong, very wrong. i have posted twice (now three times) that I own 91,000 shares in EUA. I fully understand the situation in Russia but made a decision to invest, I gambled. Isn't that what investing is all about?

Some investors are getting nervous about Ukraine, that's their problem. As I said you reap what you sow.

Tend to agree with you Folio. I'd also say Putin is a highly experienced politician/diplomat, he ran rings round Trump.

I just find it really interesting how people can pump this stock up and then after last weekend they blame other factors for the SP decline..
