Colour, Mon 15:03, did you solve the conundrum. Why did CC get a second order for 30k units not having completed the first one. Would you say MEA were pleased with CC. Must not lead you what is your answer.

Well Colour/ITT, we all make surmises. I try to be mainly futuristic on what I have read. You seem to surmise on what is not said. As said CC's contract is with JST/Forth and is following a pilot which apparently applies to the whole of Thailand not just MEA. Think, if we had NOT got that contract, due to quality of CC RF and may be Forth's ability to supply approved meters what would Colour have come back with, something like 'can't even win contracts on their own doorstep'.
MEA appear satisfied with CC and I think we will get all of the 4m units or what they make Smart.
Q4/21 will be very interesting and profitable I suspect. Current SP is an attractive buy.

Quite right LTI, Colour is rolling the 2 figures together. We have MEA (4m customers) and Itron have PEA (20m customers).
Both appear to be pilots. MEA is ours. We had a contract and then an extension and also a license for over 200k units.
So Colour MEA gives CC a contract of which not all have been installed, despite this it issues us another contract of similar size. Now we have a conundrum (yes right word) for which only you can now provide the solution.

Hello ITT/Colour.. Still no hopers . I think LTI's Thailand update explained situation. My view is you will not get beyond 'pilot' stage until Thailand says so, which appears to be Q4/21, that is both CC and Itron. You cannot change facts.
The CC follow on order surely would not have been placed had the first lot not been successful.
It would be very interesting to see how Itron progressed or not, with timing, follow on orders, installations, feedback, how near 100% efficiency they are in all locations. etc.etc. That would cover any possibilities for CC.
Hardman laid out the INDIA situation with possible 3m units on existing contracts, CC may have to negotiate or even modify to meet Intellismart requirements who appear to have existing problems, hoping notspots.
We have done all this before then out comes a contract, hopefully things will speed up from now on.

LTI, thanks for the Thailand update. I was not aware that the contract was a pilot, this answers a lot of questions like why were contracts in the 30,000 units region. That may be the size limit under Thailand rules for pilots. However the licensing agreement of 250,000 shows MEA's intended direction.
Reading Hardman's 16/7/21 at Incremental opportunities, does it infer there are questions marks regarding the other pilot of Itron for PEA. Seem to remember them buying Silver Spring so does their RF have a few problems re notspots etc or is that wishful thinking.

Colour in can see your point but with AIM it's forward performance that counts and the timing of getting in.
Early success would have meant profits for the founder shareholders, changing from semi conductors, now surging, was always risky. The key now is software, good profits with small outlay after R&D.
My previous comment on notpsots in India, whoever gets them and CC looks a likely candidate, of 30% of 250m units is 75,000,000. With previous values set by CC of 1m units = £20m for existing contracts then 75m units would equal £1.5bn.
That is just my notspot calculation for India. CC could get the lot if INDORE looks attractive but a part would be nice.
This is AIM which must always be considered. However if CC can come up with the right price without being a loss leader then I think there is big money there.

Colour the drivel dwall mentions is you and me, I look for the upside and you the downside and of course the demise of JC. Any dodgy complaints will not come from me but from others.
As I see it, Hardman's 38p was a bit optimistic for near future but his reference to Intellismart's 10m unit contract of which CC he believes will get 3m unit contract says to me that Intellismart is taking on board CC RF because they have possibly come up against 'Notspots'. If that is the case then it bodes well for CC RF as 30% 'Notspots' is probably reflective throughout India. A pipeline in the making. They may consider full head to head in some areas on seeing the results of INDORE.

You must acknowledge that CC has an MOU with Intellismart which you seemed to overlook when referring to Africa.
The information Hardman refers to is either lies or factual, dodgy ground, what do you think.
The sand is washing from under you, barring Cov anything in that report that develops is good news for CC.

When the RF situation and needs sorted out with Intellismart we hopefully could see the 3m units referred to start the ball rolling to even bigger contracts. It all takes time but this looks every promising plus the independent contracts in India plus Thailand etc etc. Looks promising.

Well Colour, everybody has their own view of things. To my mind you should stand one pace back from the objective.
We all know that CC is not now counting on lighting as part of its income. Using RF technology was a good idea to reduce electricity at night etc but as you say probably cheaper to just to use a more efficient bulb.
Smart meters on the other hand are much more cost effective especially when many are fiddling energy for nothing.
INDORE has proved its case and made money for Utility who want more, Government has showcased it, Intellismart obviously picked up on it and now engaging with MOU. India appears to be getting its act together and if we get the 3m unit contract that Hardman was referring to then we will probably see some action.
It has always been painfully slow but that is India, I feel this will now build up especially if the RF system (INDORE) is used and CC get Head to Head contracts.

Well Colour, last one dwall, as I see it the UK and rest of the world all have notpsots and you cannot claim 99.9% if you don't resolve it.
Presumably UK was not aware of these when starting out, then had other problems re transferring Utilities and called a halt. Then our politian's came up with this massive Control Centre which only just now works.
So nothing goes to plan and India appears to be calling a conference to hopefully sort it out.

Well jake, there was not much to read.
As I see it, being Sponsored by Powergen is important, they want results as there is a lot of business to be had, as Colour points out previous contracts have not made much progress. Is this because of Covid or is it that the systems picked, for whatever reason, do not work. CC came in late on the scene because RF was not the desire route, so did the others not work, along comes MYSORE and INDORE and they work, reliably and make an almost instantaneous profit.
So is this meeting of heads to sell CC/RF to the pack to resolve any shortfalls.

This is definitely a high powered meeting and should get results.
I would like to see JC participate and he probably will.
We have dull times with lack of information but that's the name of the game.

Things have changed 100% since 1974. eer computors> PCs>Laptops. No more Main Frames, it is all so different.
With the size of India they probably did want cheap, now they want the latest in Cities and OPEX option will get them all they need and with CC at a good price.

Well Colour, lighting control may well take off in other countries I think UK does light reductions.
In India the emphasis is on household smart meters at present, which CC's software is geared up for.
It can do add-ons like notspots or the full end to end Monty. Its Multi-Platform capable so ticks all boxes.
I think CC will be very prosperous if India gets underway with its Smart ambitions. Just a matter of getting on with it.
Lots of companies do R&D which is then abandoned or held back for later. The big ones can hide it.
That's is why we are on AIM, the risk element i.e. big profits or nothing.
Stick to FTSE100 if nervous.

Well Colour, lighting is not close enough to home for customers so that was probably only going to be bulbs.
With meters I think that a lot of notice has been taken of CC's success with INDORE, they started making money from the outset and now with OPEX they are in a win win situation. The beauty of it is that with this they can go for IoT not the odd village single light bulb which I think would have bitten the Gov as even that can run a PC and a PC opens population to the world around them.
