For the time being, I know what i'd rather have if I had to bash one end of the busy M1 to the other in cold wintry weather, without stopping (5 mins in a hedge). EV or petrol/diesel? The car manufacturers must be tearing their hair out which main battery to use. All costs and reliability isnt it, how are the scales balanced atm?

I believe subsidies to ageing UK coal/gas plants and inefficient renewables are under scrutiny. The UK govt hope to get away with it and not have to fork out for new infrastructure. Here's to good govt!

I used to live in London. Just looked up hotels on tripadvisor, crazy prices for one night around the city, even south of the river. If I was going to stay a night near London Bridge, Bermondsey is close by. The Mayflower Pub on the river overlooking the city, and tripadvisor has nice bermondsey hotels, 200 min though, great the next morning for an olde worlde city stroll. Premier Inn is even 187 quid. Was thinking of getting the train in that night, sadly working mid-week. Watching presentation later. Happy to celebrate later.
