its carried out under field conditions and its really to ensure there is no damage to the actual engine as the cost can be mind blowing expensive. During the process monitoring is carried out and at the end a strip down to ensure no real damage . that way if successful normally 4000 hours the engine manufacture can say its safe to use and no problems with insurance. imagine a new fuel is used with no testing and the engine blows up - whose fault the fuel supplier, the engine manufacture, the one who decided to use it - and deep pockets for someone to pay out - but who ?

personally speaking, I cannot see one real justifiable reason why they allow shorting to happen and to continue. What benefits are there to society as a whole in seeing a company brought down to its knees by a few who are gambling and planning (some of these hedge funds and types) who are set out to destroy companies and break up anything left all to make a quick buck. The government should outlaw this and set draconian taxes on those who benefit from this. We need companies such as QFI who can make vast changes and benefit society- yes investors will make money and righlt so because without them we would not exist !
hi, not sure if you are a member of the quadrate shareholder's forum - but well worth a visit ! some really great people, vast knowledge of QFI and good sensible posts, unlike some other forums. Prep is one of the admins people drop him a line. And I know how frustrating it can be many others are in similar situations tony

Very glad you liked it and for Rollingstone for posting the link - there are some excellent people on the forum would recommend trying it, very different from most others , good topics and some very knowledgeable people like the author of this article composed by one of them .
Re Princess and LNG - I wonder how the insurance companies perceive and view the risk factor with cruise ships and LNG personally would not want to insure at any cost can you imagine the pay out if there was an explosion it does not bear worth thinking about. i can see the logic for carriers etc but where you have literally thousands on board it does not bear thinking about. Its frightening - and definitely would not want to go even if FOC.
It got delayed - or that was said fairly recently . Did wonder if it had hit a Buoy ?
see the record is stuck again on repeat play.
hi crippin - i can see your point - everything looks like smoke and mirrors . yes for our fuel to get accepted it only has to perform as it says on the tin - the engine manufacture must give approval otherwise if it did damage the engine and they had not given approval then wash your hands time.
What is finding out difficult is that surely every new type of fuel including some of the low sulphur ones as they cause more engine wear as less lubricant , cat fires no one is saying.
Also jason said maersk have everything they need - now could they be using their clout to push through a full lonro ? after all when our ship hit the buoy the engine was stripped down so must have tested it then.
the other thing is which has always niggled me is that the ship had allegedly done so few hours on paper, many really sleuths on the boards were tracking the vessel and the indication was much more. i am not saying conspiracy theory but would question WHY was it so few hours - or was it a low number ? the only ones who do are maersk and they are saying nothing. how do we know or can trust what they say is low hours - they are very astute .
Morning Sam - yes that is exactly what jason said in the conference call , Maersk has all the information they need from the trial its just a case of them wanting to press the button. I think someone asked would they have to re continue the trial or start a new one which brought up the question.
