Where do people estimate this to be when the New Drug Application is approved - I have had these shares for well over 15 years now, and am going to hold till the end. Question is, when is the end, we have been so close to both success and failure over the years - it looks like we finally have some great results, and really nothing to stop us now. But how much is the share price worth when Ensifentrine comes to market?
Just received this from Halifax
VERONA PHARMA - Important Information
Verona Pharma (Verona) intends to cancel the admission to trading of the Company's Ordinary shares on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).
Following the Cancellation, all public trading in Verona's shares will take place by way of the Company's American Depositary Shares (ADSs), which will remain listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market (NASDAQ).
In order for shareholders to continue trading in the Company's shares we will take the necessary action to convert your Existing Ordinary shares into the Company's ADSs. Such conversion will take place on the following basis:
1 New Verona ADS for every 8 Existing Ordinary shares held.
We will commence the conversion into ADSs on 19th October 2020, at which time your Ordinary shares will be removed from your account and will not be visible for you to see.
Still nothing from Halifax, do we have a definitive list of UK brokers that will trade VRNA?
My AIM (excuse the pun) is to set up a back up account this week to deal with the transfer for me, or if I am forced down the sell and re-buy route, a broker that can defiantly handle to transaction for me.
On the sell and re-buy route I am tempted to sell the entire holding, throw it at BooHoo ahead of the results on Wednesday and then use that money to re-buy VRNA.
Morning,
I have just emailed IG after a google search suggested they were the best fro trading US shares. No live chat available, massive wait on the phone so emailed them. Hoping naively that they actually are best for trading in the US and just not a paid advert!
Will let you know response if, as, and when it arrives.
Not happy to wait for Halifax and cannot trade VRNA in any of my accounts with them, Share Dealer, Share Builder or my Shares Isa - so one assumes unless they have to do it over the phone it might not be possible.
Afternoon all fellow long term sufferers!
Just finished my second call with Halifax, I hold my VRP in my ISA with them. They are 90% sure that they will be able to transfer my shares, and I will still be able to trade them through my Halifax account. Apparently I need to look out for notification through a Corporate Action within the next two weeks.
Its the 10% that concerns me, so I am thinking I need to find a UK broker that will 100% trade in VRNA and set up an account with them just in case I need to transfer them.
Halifax are saying that i don't actually need to transfer them as per note on RNS, however I can't imagine the ball ache, additional cost and time frame of trying to sell them once delisted.
I will of course loose the benefit of having them in my ISA, but there is NO WAY i have held them for over 15 years to let this beat me, especially with the finish line potentially in sight.
Anyone know of a UK broker who will definitely deal?
Cheers,
Tom
Really frustrating share, I was in long before the Nasdaq listing at 3p a share old money which now translates to 169p per share and is by far my largest holding. For my money should be 300p per share easy as fully funded with great game changing drug. I am concerned that management have been to greedy over the years and the landscape has changed so much that they have forced themselves to go it alone. Lets hope SNG management not so greedy! Sometimes the first offer is the best!
Ive been invested in VRP for years now and seems to have a very similar function to SNG, in terms of opening airways and easing the symptoms of COPD & Asthma and seems to also have benefits to cystic fibrosis sufferers. They are now fully funded through an oversubscribed private placing to take Ensifentrine their lead drug through Stage 3. I find it really interesting how they have chosen to stick to their main goal (Global COPD market), and not run any trials of Ensifentrine as an add on to a COVID-19 vaccine or End of life benefit for sufferers. Anyone else invested in both and care to comment?
