Brazzaville, Congo, May 25 - Congolese Minister of Mines and Geology Pierre Oba announced Wednesday in Brazzaville at the Council of Ministers that the Port of Pointe-Noire will soon receive the first train containing the first cargo produced in Mayoko, in the department of Niari, in the south-west of the country.
According to Pierre Oba, Mayoko's first iron cargo has already been sold. "The buyer's ship is already on the shores of Pointe-Noire," said the Congolese Minister of Mines and Geology.
Among the draft decrees submitted to the Council of Ministers by Pierre Oba include, among others, the draft decree for the first renewal for the mining company of the Congo mining exploration license for gold, said "Etaba permit 2 '', in the department of the West Cuvette (North-West) and two draft decree for the mining exploration license for the Colombian tantalite says' 'allowed beautiful view' ', for the first and for the rough diamonds said' 'Gatongo kounda permit' for the second, in the Sangha department, in the north of the country.
The Council of Ministers also examined and adopted the draft decree granting the company Origine Exploration Congo SA a prospecting license for potash liquor called "Loango license" in the department of Kouilou, in the South.
"The prospection of this company has been encouraging. It therefore seeks a research permit to determine the potash potential of the area surveyed for possible entry into production. The budget for carrying out this work is estimated at more than 10 billion CFA francs, "said Pierre Oba.
To facilitate research and mining production, the Congolese head of state, Denis Sassou Nguesso, emphasized as a priority the construction of a railway line that will link the different mining production basins from the ore port of Pointe-Noire to Department of Sangha via the localities of Mayoko and Zanaga, in southern Congo.
Pierre Oba submitted a total of six draft decrees, all of which were adopted after their review.
In addition to Pierre Oba, the Congolese Minister of Hydrocarbons, Jean-Marc Thystère Tchicaya, proposed seven draft decrees that were also examined and adopted.
For the Minister of Communication and Media, spokesman for the government, Thierry Moungalla, the adoption of these draft decrees shows the will of the government to ensure optimal regulation in the sectors of mining and hydrocarbons, two key sectors of the national economy to ensure its growth and dynamism.
