Nige Hi, As Ice said I too only ladder with TW & ITV as I know the stock extremely well and I follow the ups and downs every day. When an opportunity lands I take full advantage but use the rungs rather than buying or selling in one deal, it makes good sense and reduces most of the risk. Glad to see that you have not sold all your TW shares. ATB Tom:-))

Nige hi, Forgot to say that normally I do not trade using the ladder system during a down turn. I buy and sell in rungs ie buy low and sell as high as I can. I can not remember a time when the system has backfired on me. Its worked for me so far to the good, and if I felt that there was a risk I simply would not buy or sell and wait for a more favourable time. Hope that makes sense. ATB Tom :-)))

Nige Hi, So you have sold all your TW !!!!!! I am very surprised thats why I asked. We have been talking for months now in respect to our thoughts re the anticipated TWSP in the next month or so and we have hoped around 210 or even greater. I thought that you were holding out until the new year ? I hope that you sold at a good price as you could have bought them back yesterday at 198+ and that I would say would have been a great deal. The question is are you going to buy back those sold in light of the anticipated 210 sp ????? Whatever you do I am sure you are going to plan so good luck whatever way you turn. UK interest rates kept on hold at 0.5%. Some reasonable news for House buyers and housing in general.

Troubles hi, Naughty Naughty !! lol. I was thinking that the fall yesterday was just a glitch re the RICS, and anticipation of a poor report. I will again sell a rung if we hit 205/206 then sit and wait for another fall. I know its rather risky doing this now we seem to be on a trail North but we always seem to have a drop now and again then a quick rise back to where we were. It has worked for me in the past !! Troubles hi, Missed the low today so I cancelled my buy limits and saved most of the cash but bought some more ITV so happy with that. Bit of a wet day ATM so stuck in waiting for the rain to stop. :-( ATB Tom :-))))

Bazz Hi, good to hear from you. I too did a little profit taking on the 8th at 2.035. Sold only 8k. The reason was to buy back at 197 /198 but I just missed out today as it did not drop as low as I thought, only got as low as 198.60. I have just saved the cash as to reduce the amount I have invested, it was getting silly. If a really good opportunity arises I can always put the cash back into my account. But I did top up ITV with about 2.5k shares as they are doing well and the new CEO starts in Jan. Anyway hope you and all are keeping well. Great to hear from Ice & Helena too. ATB Tom :-))))))

I think this is a very strong buy at 198 if it falls ??????? I have set two buy rungs at 197 /198 for today so keep your eye open. IMO of course. GL Tom :-)

CD & Helena Hi, Yes had a look and will keep an eye on it and would buy some at around 25p. ATM is around 30p. I don't normally do energies as my last dabble with CNA nearly backfired but got out in time. Hope you are both well and getting ready for Crissy. Troubles hi, With the RICS out tomorrow I think some did reasonably well Friday in collecting a bit of profit, I did at 203.50. I am going to set two TW buy limits for tomorrow at 197/198, bit cheeky but whatever, he who hesitates etc. I feel that the current drop to 201 is down to the anticipation of poor RICS news and a fall tomorrow. Bought some more ITV today at 162 so happy there too. Did you get any more of them ?? Things are doing fine ATM and hope we will all do well up to Santa rally Christmas and especially for the New year, where Builders seem to do quite well in the first 3 Months. ATB Tom :-))))))

Inflation rate rise 3.1 % may not have helped first thing ???? Highest in 6 years and they say it could rise even higher.

Hope some topped up at 199 as this will get back to 202 / 203 possibly by end of play ?
