You ask "Where can you get a return like that these days" Have you considered or researched Housing Builders, a typical one is TW. ( taylor wimpey ) who have just confirmed "we reiterate our commitment to return £600 million by way of total dividend to shareholders in 2019, a 20% increase on 2018. That equates to 18.30 pps. Not bad. Another is BDEV.

This is just a thought and maybe worth a little discussion.

After much worry and a fall in our SP there is lots to speculate about the talked about 160+ up to the ex dd 22-Nov-18 for a 4p+ dividend.

Lets recall the last 9p+ dividend back on 07-Jun-18 when we fell the same amount on the day then kept on falling to current price. The question is will the same happen again, say 164 by ex dd then a fall of same back to 160 then a continued fall till next year.

Remember the price last time was around 197 then a fall the same day to 187 ish. We are at much lower price now after a big loss in just over 5 months.

I was thinking if that was the case it may be better taking the 164 in cash and then wait to see if the continuous fall happens again.

I appreciate that we have now had the dividend agreed for next year but with respect we had the same last year and still had the fall.

My question again is what is new that will prevent the recurrence of a large fall again. ????

155.60 was the Uncrossing Trade price. This is used for for the single uncrossing trade detailing the total executed volume and uncrossing price as a result of a SETS auction.

I think you will find that the closing price was 155.60 and it would appear that this is the UT price ?? I would not worry about the UT as it really does not mean much, to us anyway.

Mrd, what confused me is that you stated "your break even was 200p" you did not say that's what price you wanted, so that was the confusing bit, and saying you have to explain 3 times is a bit OTT.
You have now explained and I now understand what you meant, thanks for clarifying same.

He has totally confused me too as he was hoping for the 160's and we could have hit that with a bit more luck today then he sells at 152, and stating he needs 200 to break even, bizarre to say the least. But I agree the best of luck to him and us all.

I can not sell as my average is about 197 so on hold ATM and sitting on the fence waiting like Mrd for 200 at least.

Must admit it would be nice to see a firm 160 close :-)
