VTID hey, reading that spec it shows that the opp has"STIC™ Steering and Transmission Integrated Control
STIC provides effortless control of the machine by a single controller. Simple side-to-side motion articulates the machine.
Directional shifting (forward/neutral/reverse) is controlled using a three position rocker switch. The thumb operated buttons control gear selection.

So no problems with any direction and I would think that the one Bamps has mentioned Sandvik will have the same drive options.

This is all great stuff for sure.

Think maybe Shady means the dirt load as they are on the decline maybe !! Someone said in that past that the dirt-load may or will have small amounts of Gold and other minerals and will be sorted.

Bamps hey, that looks a beast of a machine and I would think it has a cabin that has a revolving / turn about seat so the operator just spins around to reverse rather that what we do in our cars looking over your left shoulder:-) now that would make sense. The decline is very long so it will take a long time for the removal of material / waste during construction of same. I would think this will get better when they construct the side tunnels for turning purposes.

All extremely interesting and technical.

I was thinking about the current single decline.

At the moment is it true that all the removable digging / dirt is taken out with trucks in reverse? We have seen similar declines with two one going down any the other coming up with the dirt saving time reversing including a turn around area. If we had two now, a conveyor system could be installed later, and save valuable time ????? Sorry if this is a silly question but I have been thinking about it for a while.

Bamps hey, I have done my own calc's and now understand what its all about. I was mistaking the 100m as in vertical ( 400m -100m = 300m to go) I now understand that Paddy meant 100m "towards the ORE" ie in the decline length. As you pointed out we have only gone down vertically about say 20m so its worse to what I imagined originally, now we have about 400m to go LOL

It would be nice to see a cross section of the drive so far showing the 420m top cover to ore level and the decline showing actual progress at depth. NCM must plot this day to day so this would show us exactly where thy are. Maybe someone in the know could ask for a weekly or monthly update:-)

I am with you, totally confused. As Bamps just stated it’s approx 420m to ORE top. We seem to have cut say about 20m in actual depth ( not decline length)
So about 400m in depth to go and 2023 seems so far away:-(

We have been told that the top of the ORE Body is about 400m from surface. So as Paddy stated we are at approx 100m that means we have about 300m to go. Am I reading this totally wrong and can anyone confirm how DEEP have we cut NOT THE DECLINE LENGHT.

As Paddy said 100m nearer to the ore body. (400 m) that would suggest we have already cut a depth of 100m not the total length of the zig zag decline which would be a lot more than 100m.

Oil monkey hey, if you think 99m total distance that would mean they have vertically drilled a few m deep, you do realise the decline is a zig zag formation not straight down.
